Just saw this today www.marvel.com/news/-1.1030I've never been a fan of Sentry, but at least now he seems to have stopped hiding under the sheets. What do you think?

Is it me or does the Sentry do more in this one preview than in 25 issues of New Avengers?

Not bad. Still a little too much "Bendisitis" dialogue-wise, but looks like it could be enjoyable. It's good to see Sentry actually do something. I have to admit I am intrigued.
I generally like Cho's art, but look at Tigra on the cover: OK, there's got to be some more natural way to pose her if he wants to show her ass off. I mean, I don't care how limber she is, that is just ...no.

It's not you. Hmm. Not entirely sure whether that's a compliment to Mighty or just an insult to New ...Still, if Bendis can actually use the Sentry intelligently I'm all for it. IF...

careful Doomsie, that sounds mighty close to you questioning Bendis. He'll stop sending you those checks

Is this a parody of a super hero comic book? No, really. MA does a lot more sense if one reads it as a parody.

I actually like the look of this one aside from the horrible horrible Tigra picture and the giant metal boobs. I see no reason to have this new incarnation of Ultron other than to splash around T and A all through the issue. I would be a lot more impressed with the old looking Ultron telling Sentry to leave the planet.

Not entirely sure whether that's a compliment to Mighty or just an insult to New A little of both. My displeasure with New is a long established fact, but in these few pages it actually looks like the Sentry is doing something to justify himself as a heavy hitter. If so, great. But what took Bendis so long to get there?

Exactly, I fear if Doom every graces the pages of MA, he'll be sporting a chain mail bikini and a set of double D's. I believe Doctor Doom will be the subject of an upcoming Mighty tale. No word yet on whether gender bendis is sending a hericane to Latveria first, however.

It may please you to know that I am fully prepared to join the screaming masses if Doom is not handled right. I have a high tolerne meter on most things but Doom.... and what with Bendis saying he'll do something that' snever been tried before... and what with Doom's apparant connection to a SYMBIOTE INVASION of all things...
....Well let's just say I'm ready to bring out the old suit of armour. JMS retconned a BRILLIANT story to bring Doom back a year ago, and he has done absolutely nothing since. If he is now killed AGAIN within a year of now after one big arc, then I fear it is Brian Bendis who shall find himself sealed in a spaceship and blasted to another world....
...but Doom might just forget to put in an oxygen supply...

I was thinking about a giant quarter just for you Balok but I shall respect your wishes and mail it to Nutcase IF Bendis messes with Doom. I still need to punish JMS for his retcon of "Authoritive Action", his Spidey work may partially redeem him so I was thinking a finger or two...

If you want to get really technical, a female Doom (as sad as this is) wouldn't be that original. (Read Marvel Mangaverse volume 2). Its been done before, and as bad as you all imagine it, it was actually much much worse. I liked the first Marvel Mangaverse books as some interesting artistic takes on some Marvel characters and the sort of super cliched anime type story they would fit into.
But Female Doom? If she hadn't killed 75% of the manga Avengers, it would have been well beyond unforgivable.

I just picked up this issue and I found it to be some good ol' fashion super-hero fun. Lots of barking orders, a great Sentry/Griltron (still prefer Jantron) fight sequence, the other Avengers in action, etc. Last issue was best, but I'm finding this story to be better than most of "New Avengers" altogether.
Can I gently encourage some of you to try it? It really is pretty good.
