I must admit that I tend to agree with pym's POV. It is the kind of thing that encourages cliques. It's not just about smiting either because exalts and karma can start to feel like a popularity contest.
In my experience the people on this site are usually fairly responsible about it but I wouldn't be at all surprised if people who are Bendis fans have sometimes had a perception that they were being bullied. Most of them tend to have a pretty limited lifespan here which isn't entirely healthy.
