I always thought the taskmaster was a badass and had a cool outfit The marvel version of Deathstroke (but not as cool)

While Doctor Doom's is AWESOME, I have to say Moon Knight.
C'mon, I can't be the only one who fell in love with the character purely because of the incredible costume.

Doom, you really might be.
How about Black Panther. Love those ears and the pin-striped boots!

Capt. A, naturally. 67 years in a costume basically unchanged says something.

In the Icon category, Captain America, whose largely unchanged costume remained a symbol of freedom until the day he died. In the Flashy category, Taskmaster, whose original costume is one of my all time favorites - and he's cooler than Deathstroke, because Deathstroke's creator trotted out that old (and very wrong) saw about people using only ten percent of their brain. In the Menacing category, Doctor Doom. One look and you know that guy's trouble. In the Nobody Did It Like Kirby category, Galactus. Purple and blue? And what the h are those things on his ears? If he wasn't so powerful and implacable, he'd be hard to take seriously - and yet, we do, because Kirby made him visually distinct. Despite the bizarre colors and strange ornamentation, he works. In the Changes Aren't Permanent, But Change Is category... the Wasp, whose clothing rack full of costumes left readers wondering what was next.

Okay, Balok, but Galactus not as he originally appeared (that is, with that big "G" on his chest...) but only after that detail was ammended...

I’d like to nominate the (New) Defenders’ Cloud, in her/his/its Carol Faber form:

However, I think that's the whole point as to why the history of these boards remains live on your desktop -- so all can view what has gone before. I would think (expect) all of our users to have a working knowledge of what has been said -- there certainly is nothing wrong with posting in a long-hibernating thread to get it back on the front page. I've done it with threads that dealt with particular topics that had gone dormant, and then WHAM! some nugget of news made it again-relevant, so we got it cranked up again.
Of course, as a history teacher I'm kind of partial to one doing his/her research...

but even after you told this poor excuse for a history student how to access that history , I'm not doing so well on getting all the past, related references. So I wind up resurrecting old lines anyhow.

I don't mean for this to be a problem for anyone.

It's not really a problem.
But I would say, in light of your near-1000 posts in less than four weeks, that perhaps a little more reading and a little less writing (FOR NOW) might bring you up to speed on what's gone on around here for the past 18 months. Doom and W will want to gag, but we had some regulars some months ago who really livened things up!! Of course you veterans know I'm talking about Ultron and bobc (and I didn't say they were positive -- I said they livened things up).
I can't come up with my "Missing Persons List" unless I know the boards and who hasn't been around lately...
And by the way, BigDuke, I saw you logged on the other day, but it's been awhile since you posted regularly, fella!

I do read the threads that I am looking into, thanks to your insight on the history. But only just having come back into comics after several years absence only recently, the only things that I have any comment about ARE the current issues, and the responses of others to the same things I'm reading.
I'm sorry my posting so much is such an issue to you.

I'm sorry my posting so much is such an issue to you. Merely trying to point out that there have been a whole bunch of very good discussions in the past that you could add to. That was all. I assumed that since you like it so much around here that you'd enjoy seeing all of the myriad topics that have passed under the bridge. If you're not interested in that -- fine. It just seemed a little redundant to bring up issues that could merely have been added onto -- hey, saves server space, I don't know .

Spiderman now that he's BACK IN BLACK!!!!! hahah even though I only get USM and none of the regular spidey titles, I just love that black costume. (I guess I get to see it if I keep getting New Avengers)

The simplicity of the black costume does make it a great outfit. In fact, if we branch out to the "Spider-Women", I always liked the black-garbed Spider-Woman in comparison to Jessica Drew's red and yellow togs.

Hi, Doctor ua2...I've just been busy with work and some other obligations lately. But I'm trying to catch up on all the posts and new names!
Speaking of black...as I stated in Doug's earlier thread on iconic "looks", my favorite costume would have to be the one Neal Adams designed for Havok waaay back in 1969.
