OK
Good points, Black Knight is an Avenger I've always liked. He's fought alongside the Avengers in the past, but this was the first time he was really like the leader of the team.
The Avengers, along with Dr. Strange are up against Surtur and I think its Ymir. A really good battle. It shows the Avengers not being undefeatable. They are pretty much ineffective in direct attacks. Over all I would give it (here it is folks the beginning of my very own ranking system)
7 Loonies out of 10
I need some help from any Dr. Strange follower.
Why did he have a completely black head at this point in time? I remember him haveing the black head, I just never knew why.

This issue is the first appearance of the quinjets! It's also key in that it's Dr. Strange's first appearance in an Avengers book, almost 30-some odd yearas before joining.
Though it really pre-dates my time, I had this issue as a kid (thanks Uncle Roy!), and I was fascinated by the first two splash pages -- "Some say the world will end by fire, and some say by ice..." It's kind of hokey now that I look at it, but when I was a kid, that was pretty hardcore stuff. I loved it.
I loved this issue for the return of the Black Knight as well. He's such a good fit for the team.
very good issue, and a classic on many levels.

As I recall, that was when Doc was wearing his "superhero" costume (like the other outfit wasn't a superhero costume, but whatever). It was thought that if he looked more like a standard superhero it would help sales, hence the short-lived full face mask and other, minor changes to the attire of the master of the mystic arts.

Marvel Team-Up 59 started almost the same "Some say Spidey will die by fire, some say by ice". Great 2 parter with Yellowjacket and the Wasp helping Spidey out against Equinox.

I want to get that Marvel Team-up. Didn't Wasp's powers change in that issue too? I remember reading an editor's note in a contemporary issue of Avengers that mentioned it.

Hank secretly boosted Jan's powers making her stronger when wasp sized and increased the power of her sting. Hell of a birthday present.
