Lucky! I've been wanting to do that for awhile, but have to make myself wait until I finish volume I. In volume III, I got in at the tail end, and only have read from "Search for She Hulk" to the end. I really liked it, and even though people love to hate Chuck Austen's writing, his writing got me back into comics after a hiatus of about 8 years.
Enjoy your purchase. They say those are some of the best Avengers comics ever written.

Just got Vol. 3 in the mail.... Wow! After reading NA it's like, THIS IS WHAT COMICS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE! It's like having a steak dinner after eating nothing but popcorn for a year. ..." and the crowd goes wild..."
Also got the Thunderbolts, equally as good. I like the part where Hawkeye was taking over the group but Abe had to go to jail because he was a murderer and they tell him about other heroes that are killers like the Punisher and Wolverine and Hawkeye replies.. "Well you haven't seen any of those guys become Avengers, have you?" sigh....

... My girlfriend cared when I bought Civil War (But that's possibly because it meant I had less money to spend on... y'know... her.) To return to the point- Ah yes, Volume 3. I have a personal affinity for it because it has imprinted itself as what I view as the definitive version of the Avengers. Wince your way through the Austen issues and you'll be fine- reading the Austen issues is about the only way you'll make it through Disassembled.

Considering the TPB collection for the KANG DYNASTY (the collection of Kurt's big Kang-a-palooza) sells for like $30 just by itself, that's a great deal.
The Kurt-&-George issues of Vol. 3 are the only ones I didn't sell when I moved overseas in 2005, other than the Shooter/Michelinie issues. (I even sold my entire, complete run of THUNDERBOLTS!)
