Of course, to get this, you'd have to have or have read the following issues. This is for your love of great entrances/cliffhangers. Kind of like how you said "Holy Moley" when you saw "The Empire Strikes Back" for the first time. They're on the cloud city, and the door slides open to reveal Vader. Whoa!! Last panel or last-page splashes make for great entrances!
Nominees: Ultron, Avengers 127 Magneto, X-Men 111 Dr. Doom, FF 142

The Ultron one on Avengers 127 is ... wow... probably one of the best ever

That's one of the few classic issues I have too, so my vote is on Ultron.

That was quite an exciting scene -- TOTALLY unexpected. Ultron in the Blue Area of the Moon? The thrill of the surprise was watered down when I read the part "continued in FF 150." Haven't got that yet, but it's on my hit list. It was a FANTASTIC surprise ending and a thrilling entrance.
Haven't read FF 142. Magneto's entrance in 111 -- I'd have to check back with that. I don't remember it too well. But since Magneto was on the cover of both issues 110 and 111, the surprise could not have been as high.
In the "forceful entry" category, I really enjoyed Tyrax's assault on Avengers mansion in issue 151.

In Avengers vol III 19, everyone was expecting Ultron to show up, but the villain was... Alkhema! It was really a surprise, good job by Busiek and Perez.

boredyesterday --
Some cat named Warhawk is on the cover of X-Men #110, and Banshee is a carnival barker on the cover of #111. That is the issue where the X-Men are performing in a freak show under the power of Mesmero. The last panel of the book is killer with Magneto doing one of those "spin around in the big office chair" entrances.

Oh -- I was thinking Avengers 110 -- but of course, nobody mentioned Avengers 110. My bad.

I really like the Ultron one in the same Busiek/Perez run where the Avengers have just defeated one Ultron and are ragged and exhausted and another pops out with a much higher number on his forehead.
