Haven't been to the shop yet, this week, but I hear word that Bendis mentions several Avengers sites in this month's column in NEW AVENGERS-- but not AvengersAssemble!
Was it an innocent omission? Was it an intentional slight?
Really, I should consider it a compliment, I guess. But I will admit I am curious...

I wouldn’t sweat over it. (And I doubt you are...) Most of the message-board sites cited aren’t even fan-run. I’m not saying that you can’t find worthwhile commentary on Newsarama’s Web site, or Mark Millar’s, or Marvel’s (once its message boards actually open); but I prefer a message board with some independence. The only message boards Bendis cited that I’m familiar with are Newsarama’s. I go to that site for the news, not the boards, though I often end up reading the commentary that trails a lot of the news stories. Some of it is insightful; much of it isn’t. For me, there’s too much rapid-fire signal-to-noise. I’m a relative newcomer to Avengers Assemble!, and I lurked here a little while (and I still do—it’s what we Night Phantoms do ) before registering. I appreciated the knowledge, the intelligence, the taste, and the civility exhibited by the diverse personalities here. And there’s also a relaxed pace that I enjoy—I’ve been on some boards that exhibited those other qualities but were just too frenetic for me to keep up with. Perhaps those other boards have flash, but I’m satisfied with substance.

I don't think there was any mention. Better off without his stamp of approval if you ask me. Just my take on it...

Oh. Oh, jeez. Oh, wow.
I saw that Bendis included mention of "Avengers Forever," but I'd just automatically registered that in my brain as being Jazzie B's "Avengers Forever.ORG" site. (A very nice, well-engineered site, that sort of serves as a nice counter-point to the AA site, I think-- stronger in some ways where we're weaker, and vice-versa.)
But-- you're right-- Bendis says ".NET." And that is a totally separate Italian site.
Wow. Both AvengersAssemble and AvengersForever got left out.
That's... pretty remarkable. Or not. Hrmmm.

Well, being Italian I appreciate the mentioning of AvengersForever.net, even though I don't visit it regularly. It has some nice stuff but lacks the kind of things I look for. Still it's strange that he put an italian site and not two farly important american ones. Maybe he had a look in the forum and didn't like something ? Oh well...

Apart from me thinking too, Bendis should really have mentioned AvengersAssemble!, what´s this Bendis/Quesada crap about not needing anymore the explicatory text boxes (forbear my english)? Personally, I don´t think the internet can be an ersatz (cool, I can use a german term here for these boxes. Internet is fine and surely no one of us would like to do without it anymore. But, when I´m momentarily reading a comic, that was and still will be the ideal place for such information placed.
