What are your all-time favorites? What do you own or enjoy in reruns?
I recently received Spider-Man: The '67 Collection and love it! I grew up in the early-mid 1970's and these were on one of those channels that specialized in reruns of old cartoons and tv shows like "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family". The cartoons are very well preserved, and are very quaint now. Certainly later Spidey cartoons were more sophisticated, but these have a nostalgic charm for me...
I enjoy from time-to-time the Fleischer Superman cartoons from the '40's. They were extremely well-done, rivaling anything Disney put out at the time IMO.
Lately I've been enjoying reruns of Justice League, Superman, and Batman on the Boomerang network.
Oh, and a blast from the past that I've yet to see in a nice DVD collection would be the Marvel Super-Heroes cartoons from the late 1960's. While lacking any true animation, they were a lot of fun because they took the very art and dialogue from Silver Age Marvels, added sound effects and made a cartoon!! I'd like to see those again!!

Good question. Let me see, I liked the Spider-Man series from about 1990 (the one that doesn't really end, it was interrupted so they could make the Digimons ), the X-Men series from about the same time (the one beginning when Jubilee joins the X-Men) and the Batman series by Bruce Timm (the one with the bat on a yellow background, where we see the origin of Two-Face and many other Bat-villains). In these days I'm finally watching the JLA by Timm and I like it so far too. I also heard there was an Avengers' series a few years ago, but it wasn't really good. Anyone knows it ?

The Avengers cartoon was a little shaky. I only saw a few episodes, but the writers and artists took too many liberties with the characters, and the line-up (Cap, Wonder Man, Vision, Tigra, Ant-Man, and other who I can't remember off the top of my head) was unusual. The recent DVD effort, albeit of the Ultimates, was much better.
The Dini/Timm Batman and Superman cartoons are outstanding.

From what I've read, the Avengers' cartoon line up didn't include Cap (who only did a guest apperance), Thor and Iron Man. Vision, Goliath, Wanda and Hawkeye were there, and Hank Pym was the boss.

I stand corrected -- I do recall the episode where Cap made a guest appearance. One of the main things I am pretty sure of is that the costumes were all altered for television. Some of the villains (Ultron, Kang) were altered as well.

One of the main things I am pretty sure of is that the costumes were all altered for television. Covering up Tigra would be so wrong.
