I remember posting one or two other "100 greatest..." links, but this one should be new. Correct me if I'm wrong Anywya, IGN's listed of 100 greatest comics villains. uk.comics.ign.com/top-100-villains/index.htmlWhat do you think? What would you change?

Very cool link--I guessed the top 3 correctly but got them in the wrong order. I'm a little surprised Magneto was ahead of Doctor Doom and the Joker!

Ronan the Accuser Spiral Absorbing Man Grey Gargoyle Count Nefaria Enchantress Grim Reaper
I would replace some of the lesser DC villains for those characters. I have an allergic reaction to DC.
I'm surprised Count Nefaria didn't make the list. He's been around a long time and has had some brilliant storylines, between the Avengers and the X-Men (All New - All Different).
No Mapcap or TURNER D CENTURY??? OkayI'llbuythat.

The list isn't too bad, though I think the Joker has to be at #1 on any comic villain list. But Kang at #65? What the heck is that crap? Some of the people ahead of him aren't even villains. Amanda Waller? She's not a supervillain, she's just pushy. Cassandra Nova? Ahead of Kang? Seriously? And Mr. Sinister cracks the top 40? Someone was smoking dope when they did that part of the list.
Otherwise it wasn't too bad.

I thought Joker would be number one too. I don't really wanna criticize this list since it is just personal opinion--but I would have put Kang in the top ten for sure--and the Enchantress, Executioner and Count Nefaria would be in the top 50 too. I'm just no as familiar with DC villains.

Magneto was probably helped by his recent origin story, it was quite a touching mini. I've always had mixed feelings about Batman's villains (how can the Joker hold his own physically against Bruce when they fight hand to hand??), so Magneto first doesn't bother me too much. I'd have put Doom though.
But yeah, Kang so low is shocking!

well I guess it depends on the criteria these guys were using. Granted the Joker is a big fat zero in the power dept, but I think if you went on the street and asked the average person on the street to name a comic villain, most would say Joker. On the other hand, if the criteria is which villain has had the most drastic effect on the shaping of comic events over the years, it'd be hard to argue against Doctor Doom or Magneto.
I wanna say here that I think Magneto is a fantastic character! If I had to pick a personal favorite villain, he'd be way up there. But when it comes to the overall effect a villain has had, I would put Doctor Doom at the top of the list. Doom has had run-ins with EVERYBODY, from the FF to the Avengers to the X-Men to the Black Panther and Namor. Magneto has too, kind of, but I think most comic fans would say he is pretty much an X-Men villain in the same sense they'd say the Joker is a Batman villain.
