An important stepping stone to the big shake-up in MIGHTY AVENGERS by the new creative team of Dan Slott and Khoi Pham, featuring a new name and identity for one of Marvel's classic characters! In this 8-page story after the tragic events of SECRET INVASION #8, two of Earth's mightiest heroes reflect on the life and times of a fallen comrade. Plus over 40 pages reprinting two classic tales from Marvel's Silver and Bronze ages: the Wasp's first appearance (TALES TO ASTONISH #44) and the infamous Hank-hitting-Jan story (AVENGERS #213) — presented with all-new, modern coloring. media.comics.ign.com/media/142/14279439/img_6242742.html

Ah $%@!! a "requiem" for Jan includes her getting smacked around? Hey how about the issue when the Avengers chose her as leader showing how they grew to trust her, her judgment, her savvy, her growth as a character? Nah let's pick the one that shows her as a victim... You stay classy marvel... I wonder if Bendis had a hand in picking the stories. And if he did, I can only hope someone senselessly, pointlessly and brutally murders Jessica Jones in a story five or ten years from now so Bendis knows what his machinations feel like. I understand that this may be the biggest event in the history of Janet Van Dyne, but it's a poorly written story, one of Shooter's worst and doesn't illustrate how much fun and how integral she was to the Avengers. Stuff like this truly disappoints me.

Freedom, i had to throw you some karma for the Ben-diss. I actually liked Jessica Jones in Alias, but as i've stated in many posts, I AM SOOOOOOO SICK OF LUKE and JESSICA! and sick of BMB too.
