I was just looking at my collection of Avengers' issues, and found the Giant-Size issue of the Avengers where Swordsman dies. To my surprise, I liked it better reading it today than I did ten years ago, which was when I first bought it! I think it's cool that they had actually killed off an Avengers, ESPECIALLY in the line of duty! Then again, I've always thought Swordsman was the most underrated of all the Avengers. So, what is everyone else's opinion on this issue?

I thought it was nicely done. He died thinking himself a loser, and trying to win back the love of Mantis. Rather touching. It's intersting that he used to be so cocky and arrogant as a villain, but that was appearently a facade as he was a pretty vulnerable, insecure guy as an Avenger.
