Saw these at Wal-Mart the other day. They're like thermal top, sweat shirt thingies with the old Avengers team picture on them. Cap, Thor, Iron Man, um... Vision I think, just glanced at it while I was walking by. Would have got one but I don't wear long sleeve shirts.

Irritate those hairy arms?
Whilst reading some oldies but goodies off the Avengers DVD-ROM, I was amused by the cost of advertised character t-shirts back in 1966: $1.50!!

I bought one. NERD ALERT!!! Thank God I do videogames for a living--it's the only job where my nerdiness can thrive unscathed. I'd be the laughingstock of any sane workplace--still, I'm quite fabulous.

Irritate those hairy arms? No, I just don't like long sleeves, very uncomfortable. But speaking of hairy arms, if my friend were to take his shirt off in the woods someone would mistake him for a bigfoot. He's not too tall but d**n, he can comb his back hair.

Could you have your friend pose in a Forrest for me, so I could get a few shots to sell to the Weekly World News? Bigfoot is big money these days!
I am wearing my Avengers T right now. Walmart only had larges, no extra-larges, so I've had to force my Adonis-like physique into this straight-jacket-like garment. It looks like I'm wearing a smedium. Thank God my bulging muscles have pulled off this fashion faux pas.

Then you could pull off wearing a Doc Samsom t-shirt, bobc...

I saw the shirt today -- split pea soup color (think Linda Blair and projectile vomiting); I suppose it could pass for Army green. Anyway, the art if of the founders, done by Perez early in Volume III. I think it might even be from the issue when they were dedicating the founders statue?? It was $9.94 at my Wal-Mart -- a good price!

I saw one tonight at Wal-Mart and bought it. They had quite a stack of them in all sizes.
It's not so much a sweatshirt as, yeah, a thermal underwear top. Strange. But I like the dark-olive drab color (even though, or perhaps because, it causes the Avengers image to blend into the shirt a bit.) Not sure why Thor's helmet wings are blue, though.
It's Perez's rendering of the statue of the Founders, so it's the big 3 plus Hank, Jan, and the Hulk, with the Avengers logo. Cool.

I was relieved when I read the posts and realized the “Avengers sweatshirts” of the subject line constituted a product for sale, as opposed to a new uniform. Maybe Cage could get away with an Avengers sweatshirt, but for most team members, a more traditional superhero look is in order. Heck, even matching bomber jackets would be better than team sweatshirts.

I went looking for these after reading y'all writing about 'em. Whoever made these has a different perception of extra-large from the rest of the world, at least my world. Form fitting is not my friend.

I think they're superhero-cut. That's not you??

Well, to the starving underage sweat shop workers that made them, I'm sure that size would be extra large.
