The Civil War: Opening Shot “sketchbook” (a 16-page B&W promotional comic) was added to my pulls this week by my friendly neighborbood comics shop. On the inside back cover is Marvel’s official checklist for all the issues in the Civil War megacrossover. (Evidently the list is quite comprehensive: it even includes the “sketchbook” itself!) I count 81 items—start saving your pennies, folks. Actually, Marvel claims the event is designed to let readers just buy what they want—which is always good advice. In case anyone’s interested, I’ve listed the issues below: first in compact form, then in month-by-month, issue-by-issue format, just like Marvel’s checklist. Lots of Avengers-related titles.

Modified: some odd formatting that cropped up when I tried to use the HTML entity for the ampersand. In particular, the title Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways should now appear correctly.
