The animated "The Batman" series on the WB just had a very interesting two part season finale.
Spoilers follow . . . . . . . . . . . J'onn J'onz, the Martian Manhunter, guest-starred in both episodes. But what really got me was the end of the second episode. J'onn asks Bats about expanding his circle of partners, then we see the two disappear, and re-appear on a space station. A door opens and we see Green Arrow, Green Lantern (looks like Hal Jordan), Flash, and Hawkman. J'onn has gotten them all together. Batman then says, "I've been following the construction of your space station for months. I wondered when you would tell me about this League of yours". !!! We get a view of the space station from outside, and it looks an awful lot like the old Hall of Justice from the Superfriends cartoon, atop some sort of small asteroid.
I was a huge fan of Justice League and JL Unlimited. I've really missed that show. While I don't necessarily expect the same level of excellence from this show, I have to say it is just fantastic to see the Justice League on the air again. From what I have read, it sounds like next season we may also see Superman and Aquaman. It's also kind of cool to see another interpretation of these characters.

How did The Batman manage to turn itself into such a watchable show this season? I think that it has something to do with Robin giving everyone someone new to talk to, but this show has turned awesome. I'm interested to see how the the League and Batman together without making the show The Justice League with some Batman.
I'm all over any show that puts Hal Jordan and Ollie Queen together. That was the only thing missing from JLU.

No kidding, I stopped watching the show for awhile, and came back this season. Much improved, and now the JL? Awesome!

Did you also watch the Legion? They did the Ferro Lad Sun Eater storyline. This has been a very good few weeks for the Kids WB!

Rex, we stopped watching Legion after the first few episodes. I wasn't impressed with the stories or art, nor the selection of Legion characters. But it sounds like maybe we jumped ship too soon.

I hated it too in the beginning, but lately they've been adding some characters. they had a huge contingent of legionnaires-Sun Boy, Colossal Boy, Tyroc, Blok, Ultra Boy, Cosmic Boy, Shrinking Violet, and Blok in addition to the several they usually showcase. It was a good two parter, by saturday morning standards. The art is still lacking though, you're right on that.

I've only found it on digital cable, I think its one of the American channels. I think that unless you get some of the WB-like stations from the US you might be out of luck.
I'd write a letter to the CBC. They'd never do it but I always feel like whenever I can't get a show up here its somehow their fault. I pay their salaries! They should air what I want them to air!

Justice League, Batman had financed the space station....and he didn't meet J'on Jonn until Superman introduced him as a prisoner in Area 51.Talk about re-interpreting the story! I noticed, Ferro Lad. Altho I like to see this char, Marvel might get a little miffed at this Iron Man wannabe. I find myself watching Legion of SuperHeroes every Sat. morning, it grew on me.

I really liked the JLA and JLU series, and would have preferred a sequel to them rather than a new version, but I suppose this is better than nothing. Pity Wonder Woman is permanently denied to be in this or other shows though, it's not JLA without the core 3

I'd love to see a Wonder Woman: The Animated Series, but they'd have to work extra hard. I don't think I can name a single Wonder Woman enemy after Cerci. With none of her supporting cast (except maybe Steve Trevor) anywhere near public knowledge the show would be difficult.
I'd be an awesome show, but I harder show than Batman, Superman, JLU or even Batman Begins was to make. And I'd rather see Wonder Woman in a DCAU show than as a stand-alone. They'd need the guest stars.

I would be happy having JLU back. I think Wonder Woman can co star in a series, as long as the series doesn't belong to another character, in which case she would be a guest star, not a co-star. Why did they had to do this so complicated!
