The Big Three, with whatever actor impersonated them in their own movies. Vs... hmm... I'd like to say Dr Doom, but he is busy with the FF, so, since I think it's better not to have two teams in the first movie and therefore the Masters of Evil are out, Count Nefaria

I have no idea who would be a good Thor these days. Anyone see Adventures in Babysitting? The little girl was a huge Thor fan, even had a plastic helmet she wore. They had car trouble and the mechanic was this tall guy with long blond hair with a big hammer in his hand. His acting wasn't the greatest but he looked the part.

That's the problem especially with Thor. You need someone who is physically impressive but can also act moderately well. Hard to find a 6+' tall guy, with tons of muscles, who can pull off being an asgardian god!
I think for most of these characters, unknowns or near unknowns are the way to go.

Either no one got the Kevin Costner allusion or I am not funny... Probably both

I few years ago, Kevin Sorbo / Hercules, would have had the fisique du role, but now the signs of age put him out of the equation.
Now that I think about it, there was a Thor in one of the Hulk movies from the tv series. His Thor was somewhat different from ours (especially in the power department, but also honor-wise), but overall was not too bad.

The Big Chill, which I really did not care for, was Costner's first roll in a major picture. However, he played the corpse at the beginning of the film, who all of the friends gather to lay to rest.
Hence the Cap reference...

Hence the Cap reference... Ah, now it makes sense.... ;D But Costner is still a big doo doo head. A corpse is actually a good roll for him and his wooden acting.

Didn't Fabio do margarine commercials? "By Odin's beard! I cannot believe this is not butter!"

That last post actually started out serious, then I just got lost in the Spelling universe. In God's name why???!! As for wrestlers in movies... usually not a good idea. Example : Hulk Hogan. 'nuff said. Hulk Hogan as Odin. "Whatcha gonna doooo when the Odin Power runs wild over you'!!!"

Doesn't look like that, but I will look into it some more this evening. The good thing is that here the "new !" icon next to a topic with new posts stays there until you enter the topic, no matter how many times you log in and out from the board. So it's just a matter of going through each section

I have no idea who would be a good Thor these days. Anyone see Adventures in Babysitting? The little girl was a huge Thor fan, even had a plastic helmet she wore. They had car trouble and the mechanic was this tall guy with long blond hair with a big hammer in his hand. His acting wasn't the greatest but he looked the part. that guy was well respected, award winning actor Vincent D'Onofrio. Doesn't look the same these days, eh? as for me, I wouldn't have thor in the movie, he's too hard to explain and shoehorn in. I would start with the Pyms and the creation of Ultron. Hank Pym would create Ultron and then watch him go beserk. He would then surmise the only way to defeat Ulty would be to get inside him and he then uses the pym particles to energize both he and janet for size control. fun bit where Ultron thinks the only way the size control works is to make them smaller and then Hank shoots up to 25 feet and starts to give him a real battle. skirmish with Ultron continues and the evil bot realizes he needs an upgrade and possible ally so he retreats and steals some munitions and an experimental android prototype from Stark industries, encountering Iron Man. IM and Pyms take on Ultron, he again escapes and then uses the lab of the Tinkerer to create the Vision. While at Tink's lab, there's a brief bit where he runs into a bowman who's having trouble staying on the good side of the law. Hawkeye sees Ultron and then catches a story in the daily bugle about a 50 grand reward leading to the return of the stark industries material. so he goes back tries to take down the adamantium bot and gets the raw end of the deal, but pyms and Iron Man come to the rescue, and just when they have Ultron on the ropes, the Vision enters the fray and takes them down. then Ultron get prepared to murder them and the Vision starts to reach self-actualization and understands the implications of what's happening and refuses to commit murder. then a battle breaks out between ultron and vision and then the Pyms, Iron Man and Hawkeye all take their shots as well and soon Ultron is on the ropes to the point that Vizh just sticks an intangible hand and crushes his internal mechanisms, noting there's a difference between murder and self defense. So casting goes as follows: Hank Pym-Edward Norton Wasp- Mandy Moore (she's actually a decent actress...) Iron Man- Jim Caviezel Hawkeye- Josh Holloway Vision-Taye Diggs (my wife seems to think he would good in tight superhero outfit...) Ultron-CGI
