I chose Val Kilmer, just because he just doesn't seem to fit the role at all... IMHO. The Schumacher Batman movies were travesties that are beyond depiction. That being said, I like Clooney's Bruce Wayne/Batman, and think he would have worked well if Batman & Robin were a different type of movie.
As for the other folks on the list, it's hard for to discount someone's casting before I even see the film. I think Downey will be ok as Stark, maybe not the best choice, but he does have acting chops. He was one of the bright spots in the recent disappointing movie "Zoidac."
I might have voted for Topher Grace, but only because I think they cast him too early. The Spidey franchise will go beyond 3 movies, and I never believed that Tobey would go beyond 3. IMHO, Topher was the next best available Peter Parker out there. I guess all they have now to choose from, aside from an unknown would be Jake Gyllenhal (Day After Tomorrow, Zodiac)... and he's ok, I guess.
And as much as I love Tommy Lee Jones... castnig him as Harvey Dent/Two-Face was just too much a stretch for me to believe. IF he was on the list, I would have voted for him.

Uhm, I'll vote after seeing the IM movie, so it will be in a while. It's quite unfair to say that someone is not going to portray a character properly before even watching the movie. I was originally disappointed with Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, then enjoyed his work a fair bit

I can understand what you say about the unfairness,.. but let me put it like this.
All the short guys they put in the Bat suit was just distracting to me. However putting Jim Carey in the Riddler costume just seems right
Tobey Mcguire, personality and body style fits, in my mind. Topher as Venom?? Venom is monstrous, topher is as thin as Tobey
Robert Downey? Just doesn't fit. I can't wrap my mind around it.

I agree the Schumacher movies were horrible, but I actually liked Val Kilmer's Batman much better than George Clooney's. That may be because Batman and Robin was such a much more terrible movie. Remember back when Arnold Scharzen.....howeveryouspellit actually was in some good movies...

I'd say Tobey Maguire if I could but that's probably because I'm still convinced they made Spidey too old and gave him a lack of quips.
Most inappropriate casting on any hero movie would have to be McMahon as the abomination in Fantastic Four. (I refuse to call him Doom! That is not Doom! It must have been a faulty Doombot!)

Hard to argue those points, Doom. I too was disappointed in the characterization of Victor in the FF movie, though I thought the casting woudl have worked just fine if they had written the character more true to the comics. And I too lamented the lack of Webhead's smart-ass quips, though it is obvious they have made the effort to include that part of his personality in the films (even if toned down).

Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in Daredevil. I mean come on the kingpin is a big fat bald white guy. end of story. Jennifer Garner as Elektra don't get me started

Agree, Doom was awful in the movie, but I feel it's more of a problem with the script and the directing that with the actor. He is the one I'm looking forward the most in movie 2, to see if there has been an improvement.
As for Spidey's lack of jokes, in all the big fights he has had in the movies, someone close to him was in danger (MJ or Aunt May usually), and even in the comics Spidey doesn't joke much in situations like that. When Green Goblin kidnapped Gwen, he actually didn't crack a joke at all if my memory is correct.

One of the things I liked about the movie Spidey was him enjoying swinging and jumping. You could hear him yelling and whoowhooing as he swung around. I thought that was a good touch.

And he also made it look like it was difficult to learn at first, while in the comic he is good at it straight away. I have to make Spidey swing for the Ultimate SM videogame, and that's definitely difficult (too fast, too slow, letting the web go too late, hitting a wall :
