Which artists work(ed) for you on certain characters, but not on others? I'll throw out a few ideas to start...
Jack Kirby: the King on just about anything besides Spidey and Daredevil
Steve Ditko: good on Spidey and Dr. Strange, but I didn't care for him anywhere else.
Gil Kane: definitely not on Superman

Can it be artists that never worked on a character? For example: - Frank Miller is the best in Daredevil or Batman, but I can't imagine him doing the Avengers or Fantastic Four. - George Perez works on the opposite side. Great in Groups, but on street-level heroes....?

It can be whatever you want it to be, friend!
Miller is a bit of an enigma. Are we talking about his "superhero" work on DD, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Dark Knight #1? Or are we talking more of his noir style such as Dark Knight #2-4 and the Sin City books?
Agreed on Perez -- wouldn't be the same on a "dark" book.
I'm curious for some thoughts on Mike Wieringo. Do those of you who liked his Spider-Man dislike his FF (I believe I saw this notion in another thread)?

I'm curious for some thoughts on Mike Wieringo. Do those of you who liked his Spider-Man dislike his FF (I believe I saw this notion in another thread)? I said I don´t like Wieringo´s work on FF. But I can tell you I didn´t like his work on SM any better. In fact, I don´t believe Wieringo will ever draw something for my liking. ;D And for about Frank Miller´s work. I "discovered" Miller´s DD a few years ago and what a visionary work it is still today! And then I bought (a TPB) copy of Dark Knight Returns - boy, what a great mistake I made... But I do know, it´s a matter of taste, as always.

Just to clarify -- Dark Knight Returns, or Dark Knight Strikes Again? Because the latter was much worse than the former.... I think there is such a line between issue #1 and issues #2-4 of Returns, and that Strikes Again is just all bad.

That's kind of a tough question. Probably the best example I can think of right now is Kieron Dwyer. I loved his work on Captain America. His fights are still unparalleled, and he managed to get great facial expression with a bare minimum of line work. On Vol. 3 Avengers, his work was still pleasant but not as "effective." That could be the result of any number of factors that I can't guess at.
