this finally came out!!!! I recently bought the hardcover for a buddy of mine and he loved it! However he doesn't want to wait til next spring for the second volume to be released! Had the pleasure of meeting David Petersen at the Paradise con in Toronto last april. really nice guy. Sketched a mouse when he signed my hardcover copy! Mice Templar is a knock off of Mouse Guard.

speaking on this mics templar, after reading it I just couldnt get past the feeling that this is a knock off of the beloved guard.
It just loses originality when there is already another mice book of the same genre out there.

Did you read the piece in the back of the book outlining Mice Templar’s genesis, dating back from long before the advent of Mouse Guard? I’ve had a similar thought, and then I’ve considered how many costumed-superhero-genre books I buy, and then I’ve thought maybe two medieval-mouse-warrior books isn’t excessive.
