I was very excited to see Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning writing together again----especially for a Guardians story.
The cancellation of their Guardians series was one of Marvels' worst moves ever, IMO.
Maybe Marvel was already planning on Bendis taking over Guardians for the movie's release. Is anyone here reading Bendis' version? I wonder if it's comparable to Abnett/Lanning's run.
The Prelude is very well written and the art by Alves/Clark/Ramos is great. (I guess they ARE still crediting colorists, just not in Uncanny Avengers...)
I was disappointed that this is really an origin story about Gamora and Nebula, with no other team members involved, but I still liked it....maybe they'll show up in the next issue.
And the photo cover was waaaay too dark.
