This is actually a tough one. Alfred strikes me as a tough old man who can most likely scrap, but we saw Jarvis take a beating at the hands of Hyde and do some pretty good fighting at the outset of Fall of the Mutants.
I gotta go with Jarv

Gotta go with Alfred, on the strength of his rumored past as a spy, and given that fact that it seems impossible Batman hasn't trained him at least a little - which is equivalent to black belt instruction.
But more than any of the others so far, I'd hate to see this fight happen. I like both characters too much to see them going after each other!

you could take this battle to another level if you like. Battle of Butlering skills, cooking, cleaning up after folks. Jarvis probably has an edge in those departments, he's had gods and immortals to care for for long periods of time.

I gotta go with Jarv As you say, Nutcase: it's a tough nut to crack; you'd imagine Alfred has been battle trained by the Bats, but then you might as well think Cap'd do the same for Jarvis... What I know for sure (it's Marvel canon...) is that Jarv used to be a boxing champion in the RAF...

Well, I'd bet on Jarvis any day myself. Simply because if Alfred lost, Batman would come after Jarvis. If Jarvis lost, the entire AVENGERS TEAM would come after Alfred

Alfred. Detective, surgeon, caregiver, keeper of some of the greatest secrets ever, loyal servant, faithful friend and confidant...
Jarvis is a great character and has had his high points, and I certainly don't dislike the character, but Alfred stands above -- perhaps it's the devotion to one man (and his sidekicks) as opposed to a whole team that makes me feel like we've had the chance to know Alfred better. One could argue that there is no Batman (he'd be dead by now either at the hands of one of his arch-foes, or perhaps even by suicide) without Alfred as the steadying influence.
