I loved the old cards of the early 90s. There were several really nice sets of MU cards and sets for X-Men and Spidey. Then the cards got thicker and the price got so high, I can't imagine how anyone was able to buy enough packs to get a set. Now all the cards are game related (As the recent Avengers set was) and the art is small and crappy. I'd love to see a well-drawn set of Avenger cards featuring heroes, villains, and allies new and old.
In particular, I'd like to see characters who were never featured on the old cards like Hell-cat, Triathalon, Ms. Marvel, Tigra, and Living Lightning get their due. I don't recall villains like Graviton, Nekra, or Space Phantom ever being featured either.
If these were high quality and reasonably priced, would you buy them?

I like cards very much, and it would be nice to have a set with the whole Avengers roster, so yes, if the price is fair I would probably buy them. Of course, the once I would be looking forward the most would be Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet, Wasp, Hank and Hawkeye.

I have fond memories of collecting ’70s and ’80s Topps cards based on the Star Wars movies. Spiderwasp’s suggestion is an appealing one, but realistically I don’t see myself today taking the time to complete a set, at any price. And the cards would also be a poor fit in my collections; I have a lot of comics, but I usually don’t seek comics memorabilia. (Cards shouldn’t take up much space, but I have so much space filled as it is!) So, for me, this would be a no. Nevertheless, I would be left standing at the sidelines, watching with envy! ;D

I might be interested, if they were super-cool, done by Jusko or Alex Ross. Some of the cards in the early 90's tried to get too weird in art.
