As I might have mentioned, I haven't picked up a comic in nearly 2 years. Haven't had any ill effects, either! Anyway, I just ran across mention that the Wasp was killed by Thor a while ago. And Spider-Woman the quintuple-agent was a Skrull. And Mockingbird. And Captain Marvell. So, at the risk of causing my head to explode, what all has been going on in the Avengers family? And what was the reaction to all this? I mean, are the fanboys still lapping it up?

I heard something about Spidey and a demon? And if Mockingbird was supposed to have been a skrull, why didn't she revert when killed? There was a funeral and everything as I recall.

I heard something about Spidey and a demon? And if Mockingbird was supposed to have been a skrull, why didn't she revert when killed? There was a funeral and everything as I recall. Aunt May got shot and so Peter made a literal deal with the devil (Mephisto) to save her. In return, his marriage to Mary Jane was erased from history. Now if only they could erase Carnage as well. Don't ask about Mockingbird, because nobody knows the answer to this question. Everyone has asked it, nobody knows. I think Marvel gave an explanation but I'm not sure why they bothered, because even they don't have a real answer. A better question is this: what's the point? The return of Mockingbird is one of the most puzzling decisions in years. I just can't figure out any reason in the universe to bring her back. Her return is even more meaningless than her death was, which is really saying something, but I don't think anybody cared about either except for the one writer who convinced Marvel to bring her back. I just don't see the point in this resurrection. On the other hand, Mockingbird's entire existence was arbitrary anyway. Her marriage to Hawkeye was random, her death was random and this return is random. So I guess it does make sense after all.

And Norman Osborne is back? How the heck did that happen? It happened about ten years ago - if not a little more. I don't know the circumstances, except it happened at the end of the "Clone Saga."
