Aside from Reed and Sue, who do you think make the best couple in the Marvel Universe.
I will always pick the romance between Cap and Diamondback. The dynamic of that relationship was always interesting to me.

I actually preferred Cap with Sharon myself.
It's difficult to say, but if I had to pick one I'd probably single out- and I know this is a VERY odd one- Hank and Janet. I dunno, it's just that I always felt that they are so intangibly related- you can sense the love that there is between them despite all that's happened, and I wish they could get back together again, permanently. Some writers- Millar in Civil War, for example- push the right buttons to that regard. Others... well, let's just say I'm not a fan of the Tigra/Hank idea of Bendis'.....

before they both got irretrievably screwed up, I would say the relationship between the Vision and the Scarlet Witch was really special and beautiful.

Aside from Reed and Sue, who do you think make the best couple in the Marvel Universe. I will always pick the romance between Cap and Diamondback. The dynamic of that relationship was always interesting to me. I can certainly agree that Diamondback has been the best relationship he's had so far. However, while I have a real fondness for the character and those stories, I don't want to see this relationship revived. Move forward into new territory, not backward over old. I do believe that the story deserves to have an end written to it, which Waid completely failed to do when he wrote the book as if she never existed. Write a bittersweet ending to their story, and move on. I'm not saying that a Diamondback re-do would have zero interest for me, but I don't think it's a positive, original direction for the characters. One reason I so dislike the Sharon thing is that this relationship is currently on its third or fourth rehash. There is nothing that could possibly interest me about it even if well-written, and even if I liked the character. My personal vote is for Cap and Spitfire. Ever since reading the Invaders 25 years ago, I've thought that Steve and Jacqueline would make a great couple. She served with Cap throughout the hell of WWII, and all the while had an intense, silent crush on him. Cap never returned it both because of his own natural shyness, and his total committment to duty. Spitfire is Cap's contemporary in age and shares experiences and beliefs in a way that really no other character does. While super-powered, she's a fairly low-level superhuman, which presents few if any problems to Cap's "street-level" book. On a larger scale, you could even look at their relationship as a metaphor for the relationship between the two countries. I believe that Mr. Brubaker actually does intend to develop a relationship between the two of them in flashback over the next two years, and dropped hints to this effect in "21st Century Blitz." Unfortunately my opinion is also that there is a good chance that Mr. Brubaker ultimately intends to expend her for dramatic purposes. I give Cap an 80% chance of ending up with Sharon (ugh!) and a 20% of ending up with Spitfire once he's resurrected. RSC

I don't know... "he" (it...?) wasn't a tree, but an intelligent plant-based lifeform... Good for jokes, no doubt but, putting that aside for a minute, in a universe as strange & incredible as Marvel's... why not... !!!

I must admit to being a sentimental fool when it comes to this: I love all those relationships which lasted for years & wouldn't be able to choose between them; I want them ALL to rekindle & thrive: Sue & Reed, Alicia & Ben, Mary Jane & Peter, Jan & Hank, Wanda & the Vision, Firestar & Justice...

Alicia and Ben! Another classic! Also desperately needs to be rekundled, especially after that rubbish in the 90s with Johnny. Waid made hints at restarting it and McDuffie at least mentioned her again but we need progress, people!

If we may suggest pairings that haven’t actually occurred…
I’d like to nominate Hawkeye (Clint) and She-Hulk. I think they could be a fun power couple. Almost certainly there would be ups and downs—I could see Jen getting frustrated with Clint’s macho, maverick attitude from time to time, while Clint would also sometimes have the sense of having bitten off more than he could chew.

hey whatever happened to Firestar and Justice - as a couple I mean? I don't recall seeing them anywhere after their time in Avengers, but I was reading very few books then.

I believe they broke up, though I don't know why I think that... they tend to appear independently now in any case.
