Hi, everyone -- I am curious about the Google ad that has been appearing somewhat regularly lately at the top of our forum. It advertises the 1966 Marvel Super-Heroes cartoons on DVD, from www.DvdHunters.com. Has anyone purchased this or done business with them? I've gone to their site, and what they are selling seems inclusive. I am also wondering about quality. I know many of these cartoons are available on YouTube -- anyone know if the quality is better on this product? Thanks for any help! Doug

Erm, you may want to check that link, Doug... Uh, yeah. One letter does make a difference! The link above is corrected. Of course, anyone after some fun of the non-four-color variety is welcome to head over to DvdHunter.com...

Nice save ;D Going back to the original question, I have never used this site, but the disc seems to be up on Amazon as well www.amazon.com/Marvel-Superheroes-66-Collection/dp/B0002VEX6YIf it's the same one, the comments here are mostly good, with no one complaining about poor picture quality, so it shouldn't be from youtube or old vhs records. In fact, I'd probably suggest buying it from Amazon over DVDhunterS. The price is the same and you would be better protected if something goes wrong and you wish a refund / replacement.

I've been waiting for years for a Marvel Superheroes dvd, Doug, but I'd be leery of buying this particular product from dvdhunters or Amazon (they're selling used copies). I get the feeling that what's being offered here was not professionally produced. It may just be something that someone cobbled together from you tube videos or the like.
The majority of the Amazon "reviews" are from people who are reminiscing and asking when the dvd will be available; the most recent review is from a guy who bought it but "the Hulk episodes are missing."

I had another look, and you are probably right. The one who bought them says
I would expect some sort of picture improvement if they have been professionally digitalized, so it's possible this is only a good vhs conversion, especially if there isn't any advertisement at Marvel.com
