How do you rate Sersi as an avenger on a scale from 1 to 8 points? How well does she work for you within the dynamics of the team? How much do you like/dislike her as a character?

I gave her a three. She was very important to the Harras Avengers team and the Gatherers storyline. However, she also was pretty much a one writer Avenger. Plus, her characterization during that run was completely different from every other Sersi before or since. Still, based on how important she was during that part of team history, I'll give her a three instead of a one or two.

Whenever I think of Sersi, I think of that horrifically bad late 80's/early 90's run of The Avengers, which really led me to reading the West Coast series more and more than it. I never liked her all that much, I'll give her a two.

3 from me. She became one-dimensional too quickly.
And she's associated with the bomber-jacket era, one of the true banes of my existence.

a 1 instead of 0. I never like characters when their powers are hard to understand. So she was an Eternal (longevity, strength, flight) and her other powers were too vast. And being on the team with Crystal (another "elemental" hero whose powers I never understood), That was the last straw for me. her membership will always represent the begining of the end for me.

I was gonna go with a 2, but then I read DLW's post and remembered the rolled up sleeve member's only jacket atrocity. 1 for me. She seemed to be there only for sexual innuendo

Obviously I am in the minority here but I liked Sersi. I think she was written a bit inconsistently and I didn't like some of the choices made with her during the end of her run (Especially the bomber jackets) but I still found her to be fun.

I'll second Spider-Wasp's comments. I liked Sersi and although she was present for some abyssmal stories, I thought the character was interesting and certainly one of the more unique personalities of the team. I give her a 4.

Only 2 for me... She doesn't work for me on two levels: A) I don't care for her personality and B) She's too powerful, I think. In spite of what I just said, she was one of the major plot catalysts during the Harras run, one of my favorites... Do I contradict myself...? Very well, I contradict myself, then. But I do think she's useful as a reservist.

4 She has some extremely useful powers and a peculiar personality. I also didn't find the Gatherers storyline that bad when I read it last year, but it was probably helped by the fact that I could read one issue after the other. On the downside, she hasn't been around too long, and I suppose she would become difficult to manage over a period of time.

Great look, but IMO was really only interesting as part of the Black Knight-Crystal triangle. A 3.
