How do you rate Demolition Man as an avenger on a scale from 1 to 8 points? How well does he work for you within the dynamics of the team? How much do you like/dislike him as character?

ugh, this latest group is really rough. The thing I recall the most about D-man is a problem with personal hygiene. That's a big '1' from me.

A 1 instead of 0, I never liked the character, or considered him a legitimate avenger.

I gave him a 3. I've always liked D-Man. He's not really a superhero, but his heart is in the right place and that's a good start. I was a fan of the character from Gru's run in Captain America and I was pleased with Kurt bringing him back. I think he actually had a lot more potential as an Avengers than many of these other second stringers; he was a red blooded boy scout type in the Cap mold and makes a good reservist.

The first thing I remember him from is issue 328 of Captain America, which I own. It's his first appearance, and he was this weird dude with this gross mohawk, and then got it shaved off to wear Daredevil's old costume! As I recall, he didn't do much as an Avenger. I'll give him a 2.

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
I really don't mind the guy, but he's got pretty much the same origin (Power Broker) and abilities as Usagent. What stories are there to tell? The big boy scout thing was pretty much taken up by Cap and Quasar in terms of personality so I just see nothing in him.

I am recalling what a lackluster period this was for the Avengers...

1. I liked the character in Cap but that's all there was. Even his Avengers membership was offered in Cap's book if I'm not mistaken. I don't think he ever actually appeared in an Avengers book until all the members were brought together for the first story of volume III. Even then, the rest of the team wouldn't sit near him.

Oops... I voted on Gilgamesh on D-Man's poll... what a dufus...!!! I gave him 2 points when I really wanted to give him (D-Man) 3. The character kinda grew on me thanks to the 1st arc of Avengers Vol. III so, needless to say, I strongly disliked Bendis handling of him. I think he's of course entitled to not liking certain characters but IMO when he does he always (almost always...?) shows an utter lack of respect for them and that does bother me.

1 I like the character, but he doesn't seem to have any skill that would put him in the Avengers for me. He probably works better as a Cap character.
