BENDIS! said: "Go back to Kurt Busiek’s issues of Avengers, when Wanda just barfs Simon out of nowhere, because, pretty much, she wanted him to exist."
Am I the only one who didn't interpret Simon's return that way? I thought there was a hell of a lot more to it than that.

More BENDIS! nonsense: "My take, and I thought it was very clearly represented in the issue [House of M #1], was that the only people who wanted to kill her were Wolverine and Emma Frost. Cap and Iron Man, who lead the Avengers, said absolutely not, Cyclops said absolutely not. That was that, pretty much – the team leaders had spoken. Other people didn’t speak, because Captain America had spoken for them. It was funny that everyone who didn’t speak up in that scene was on the side of killing her. In actuality, a lot of them were sitting there thinking, “This is a really deep subject, and I’m not going to speak out until after I’m done thinking about it, or unless the group starts going nuts."" If that's the case, then BENDIS! a) needs to learn to write more clearly and/or b) needs to learn to read what he writes. I cannot name a single person who I know read the issue the way BENDIS! intended - either none of us can read, or BENDIS! can't write. Really, which is more likely? BENDIS! went on to say: "I felt bad that was what I’ve brought to the world – that if I start writing a character, the immediate fear of the fans of that character are that I’m going to kill them." Well, that makes sense. (No sarcasm.) BENDIS! also said: "It’s coming out of a place where it’s our job to tell stories that aren’t just recapitulations of old stories with new characters and names. We’re here to tell new stories and take the characters in new directions." But... he's not! He blew up the Avengers, made a new team of Avengers, and tells the same d**n stories that are ALWAYS told about those characters! d**n it! d**n it to heck! Grrrrrrrr.... To anyone who has an issue with me BENDIS!-bashing, be aware that I have two very specific reasons for doing so, both of which have absolutely nothing to do with his horrendous renditions of the Avengers. I'm not JUST a bitter fanboy, you know. - Adrian

>>>then BENDIS! a) needs to learn to write more clearly <<<
Ha! This almost goes without saying. It amazes me that Bendis can write so much dialogue, just pages and pages of conversations, and yet leave things so confused by the end that readers are not quite sure what they've just read...

It looks like Bendis is interpreting the past issues in his very own way, pity for him that almost no one else thinks that way, pity for us that he is the writer of the Avengers, so what he thinks is likely to happen. From the way he sounded, Wonder Man will disappear soon (and I loved his return back in volume 3 issue 2 ) and Wanda is at serious risk. Heck, he even made Peter (Parker) say that he will kill her for what she's done, and Peter has been through a lot of similar situations (=illusion of a better life) without ever killing anyone (see for example the Mysterio Manifesto).

Speaking of ol' Pete, here's something that just doesn't make sense to me:
Early on in HoM, all the heroes are instantly, almost magically filled in that the current reality is not as it should be (Issue 3, I believe). Yes, Spidey does get angry... but not as much as he should...
Fast forward to the last issue of HoM, which is nothing but filler, where Spider-Man whines and moans about how much he's lost...
Just an example of how character inconsistency is the order of the day for the mediocre writer by the name of BENDIS!

It made it clear that Wonder Man was there because that's where he WANTED to be. And initially when she summoned him, it was just a general plea for the Avengers, and Wonder Man just happened to be hanging around her at the time
