HA! Carnage has boobies? First Ultron, now this? Marvel is hilarious.

I think we're learning a li-i-i-tle more about Bendis' psychological underpinnings that we wanted to know. Certainly more than *I* wanted to know, anyway...

BENDIS!?? must not have had any dates in high school, cause he sure hates the ladies. Every major villain is turning up a gal. I'm telling ya, if he ever gets Doom in a story he/she's gonna be sporting some double D's.

Guess we'll find out in issue 9 about Doom.
But I think it's leaping to conclusions to say that's Carnage and not just "Random Symbiote Number Seven."
I'm less concerned about the fact that it's female and more concerned that it seems to be possessing Jan. d**n, everyone is going to HATE her after two arcs in a row of being the villain. Is a different Mighty Avenger going to be possessed every six months?

Perhaps a pattern is forming, much like it did in the 90's at Marvel, where many superheroines are becoming "Dark This" or "Dark That" seemingly every several months.

If Wasp gets "buggy" again, I might just start buying these rags again.

You, my friend, may be the only Avengers fan alive who actually liked that story...

Don't get me wrong -- I hated it! But watching Marvel self destruct in that particular way would be even better than that TV show "Cops."

The cover seems to show the Wasp in her costume and giant-size from Chuck Austen's run, although it would also seem that poor Jan has been infected with the moronic "Venom Virus." The key clues are the front of Venomette's costume and the giant-size breasts. Great, elements of Austen and Bendis together in one story. What more can an Avengers fan ask for? I believe that it has been pointed out before that Bendis is obsessed with cross-gendering. Need we have any more examples?

Is a different Mighty Avenger going to be possessed every six months? Careful, there... you wouldn't want to get on thew40's list like I am! I'm sure with just a little more introspection you can find something nice to say about it. The idea of a Venom Virus never filled me with enthusiasm. Venom is worn-out from overuse, a classic example of what happens when Marvel lets the fanbois call *all* the shots. So it's hard to me to have much hope for this storyline, and the cover - I do wonder what's up with Bendis and idea that as fast as the MA pry a member loose from possession, another member seems to fall to it. Then again, this is the guy who had the Purple Man make a woman watch him have sex with other women and wish she were them. It's increasingly clear that he's got some strange ideas about women.

Carnage has gender issues, I see. In all seriousness . . . not impressed by the cover.
Though I'm going to reserve my judgement until I see the actual issue, I'm really hoping Bendis doesn't just pick on Jan the whole time he's on MA.
Balok? I have a list? You overestimate me.

Is a different Mighty Avenger going to be possessed every six months? I agree. I'm trying to be optimistic about this title since I gave up on NA, and I am actually still enjoing it, but I don't see why we have to start with Ultron( Created by Hank) taking over Tony and choosing to look like Jan, only to follow it so closely with a symbiote taking over Jan. Meanwhile, we have everybody in NA (From what I know) wondering who has and hasn't been taken over by Skrulls. Also, we've recently had Pietro and Wanda taking on more and more villainous roles and a former member (Hulk) stirring up all kinds of trouble. This was of course resulting from actions taken by the Illuminati. We even had a possessed Wonderman fighting Ms. Marvel and Thor fighting Iron Man because of a clone he helped create that was murdering. All this follows the fallout of Civil War. It kind of makes you question what good the Avengers actually do. I mean, sure they save the world frequently, but lately, if not for them, would the world even be in danger?

You think Sentry'll get all guilty and useless because this is all his fault for flying into orbit and ripping Carnage in half?

Think how much funnier the cover would be if the Carnage Wasp was miniaturized instead of giganticized. She could be all growling with her teeth her out, but maybe stuck in a blender attachment on Iron Man's armor.

Ok, I mock it -- but I am thrilled to death to see some covers that have something to do with the story inside. I don't have the memory required to sit back and recall all the wonderful comics I've read without prompting. For me, I need a trigger, such as a cover image to remember the story. leafing through the back issues and admiring the covers is half the reason I bother to buy comics at all. When the cover has nothing to do with the contents, it bums me out.
So KUDOS to the editorial team for having a topical cover ... and bad guys, even if the bad guys are good guys.

So KUDOS to the editorial team for having a topical cover ... and bad guys, even if the bad guys are good guys. Excellent point. I too welcome the topical cover. I can't stand going in to a comic book store, seeing an issue that's a month or so old and thinking "Do I have that?" 30 years later, I can glance at an issue seeing Swordsman throwing Captain America off a building or Attuma holding the Wasp under a glass encasement and know exactly which book it is, whether or not I've read it, and whether or not I own it in my collection. Even though Tana's avatar is small, I don't need to see the issue number to know exactly which book it is. I look at the covers of Ms. Marvel from last year and it's just a picture of Ms. Marvel. Kudos to you for pointing this out and to MA for using the tried and true technique.

A female can have the Carnage symboite cause Marvel did that back in Venom's 1st mini-series.
