In your humble opinion, list and explain why you would say a certain creator(s) has made a lasting impression on the industry. For this symposium, I would suggest that, while said writer/artist may still be churning out work, their body of output must have begun at least 20 years ago. I'll start -- Frank Miller (see the thread devoted to him and his work elsewhere on the General board). Chris Claremont -- he shepherded the X-Men through their revival in the mid-70's all the way through to the commercial juggernaut they have become today (albeit in my opinion grossly over-exposed!!). Neal Adams -- comics look the way they do today (style, panel lay-outs, colors) because of him and his work for DC in the late 60's. OK -- there are three. Have at it !

Uhm... I'd say Todd McFarlane. I don't like him, but he did give a new dynamic look to the comics he worked on. Also agree on Claremont on the X-Men, and DeMatteis on Cap. I think he gave the good Captain a new, realistic personality.
