Huh, thinking about all this, now I recall that one of the premises of the 3rd "Infinity Installment", "Infinity Crusade", was that the heroes which the "Godess" was able to influence to her side were those who held very strong, religious or quasi-religious beliefs... If you recall, Cap was among them but, I think, in his case it had more to do with his deep comintment to those which are America's best ideals... I especially liked the part were the Human Torch frets over the fact that the "Godess" took his sister Sue but not him, while all the while he had thought that they both held equally strong religious beliefs.

By the way, you're right, of course, about "La Espirita" being incorrect... As you surmised, it should be "El Espiritu", regardless of her gender...

At any rate Firebird is supposed to be gettin' with Hank Pym, so that's that. :-p At one time I would like to have seen Ms. Marvel. The brief teaser in #194 was well-done, with a rare look at Cap's sense of humor delivered with an absolutely straight face. I wonder why that was never developed further? Any takers? Now days, (CW concerns being irrelevant, BTW) I'm no longer a proponent of that pairing.
