Where else besides here to you post on comic book message boards? I'm really just here. I do run by the boards at DC Direct rarely and used to post, but as I don't buy much of their product anymore (too expensive at $15-17, when Marvel Legends are generally $8-9), I don't go by as often nor feel educated enough to get involved in their conversations. I would say I haven't been over in several months at this point. Here is just fine !

I really like the threaded kind of message boards like at comicboards.com. It's just that there are now one or two more vocal posters that have more or less set the tone for the board and any other kind of discussion just sort of sits there with no comments made. If you are of the same mindset, though, it seems like you found a true home. The same situation is true at forums.comicbookresources.com which I used to like to browse more often than i do now.
I also tried the boards at Marvel.com, since my mod status at the Universe wiki also made me a mod for the boards. But there so many people and so many threads that its too overwhelming. Plus it seems to skew a little younger. Now, I don't have a problem with that per se (you be surprised how young a crowd I roll wit') but there's just so much I could reply to when the conversation basically is all 2 kewl.
YMMV.

This is the only board of any kind I'm posting to, or reading. It's nice to see a bunch of people that agree my favoite team has been sodomized. Is that too strong of a word? I don't to get banned or have someone call the police on me or something.

The realy cool thing I like about this board is all the other links people come up with. I've seen more in the last couple of months than I'v seen in 5 years.
It's pretty comfortible here too. Despite the Evil Triumpant of Doom, Ultron and Night Phantom, I still like it here.

Well, Ultron has pretty much disappeared, perhaps his latest scheme to be reborn as a new model failed miserably... A shame too, for when I was new here one of my favorite things was to check him exchange loaded opinions with Doom...

Comics wise, I've posted for a short while in the uncannyxmen.net forum (in the "marvel universe" section) before coming here. Main reason I left is that most topic where not going anywhere really, so I grew bored ^^ At the moment, the only 2 forums where I post regularly are this one and my own at

Avengers Assemble! is the only forum I posting continuously, the only anglophone one and I´m not too busy on some German forums. What I´m especially liking here is the small (that´s a plus I think) community, lots of knowledge and of course the fact that it is mainly about my most beloved Marvel topic: The Avengers.

www.marvelmasterworks.com/Check out this site -- great resources, and message boards. I haven't tried them yet (I got this site on an e-mail a few days ago), so I can't exalt or smite them

If you go to that Masterworks site I linked above, check out the results of their 2005 survey. Very interesting data...

I'm a CBR member, occasionally active in all marvel sections but extremely active in their Civil War boards. I'm a Newsarama member but I mostly just read it and very rarely venture into their forums for good reason- I love the site but frankly, I hate the forums. I'm also a member of quite a number of web-based marvel RPGs. (Though I'm having difficulty getting Avengers ones started- best I ever managed was 10 members and that died because I couldn't use my computer for a day or two pretty early on.) I also like this board a LOT obviously, though I liked it a little more before the tone went from "Bendis sucks" to "Bendis is the worst thing ever and then some" Heh, indeed I remember that well myself. Where could he be? <draws back and sneaks to the lowermost dungeons of Latverian castle to check on.... something> MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Soon you shall all be positive about marvel again and my work will be done PS: On another note, HAPPY HALLOWEEN everybody!

To accomplish such fiendish objective, Doom, you'd first have to travel to the Squadron's Supreme Earth & secure their behavior modification machine, but watch out for Master Menace... that world's not big enough for 2 Supreme Megalomainiacs...!!!

Interesting stats... Uhm, average age is mid30s, with loads and loads of more men than women. Most people coming from the US and a lot enjoying good old fashion reprints (and wanting a Big John Buscema visionaires !)

I post mainly here and on the Alvaro Comic Boards. I used to post on CBR, but mostly stopped because that board is overrun by pinheads and slavish fanboys, which I absolutely can't stand. This board and the Alvaro boards (at least the Cap board) have a pretty decent bunch of regulars who may not all agree, but who can have a reasonable argument. The only downside is that the traffic can be a little thin between issues.

For those of you who are really into Marvel Masterworks, DC Archives, Marvel's Essentials, and DC's Showcase Presents formats, the new survey is up at the Marvel Masterworks site: www.marvelmasterworks.com/
