Thanks dlw66 for the image. So that Goliath is gonna be 12"? Hopefully my Wal-Mart gets them, I haven't seen any 3 3/4" MU figures yet, though. And the pointy-mask Iron Man is nice, too. ' I really don't want to start collecting 3 3/4" Marvel figures again, but if these look as good as they do in the magazines, I'll at least try to start up an Avengers-only collection. I know they're planning Cap, Black Panther, and Iron Man so far (and NO, I won't be including Spidey or Wolverine, thank you).

Okay, Looks like I WILL pick up the MU Spidey figure---------cuz I just saw the 2-pack with Spidey and THUNDERBALL (at CoolToyReview)!!!! He's one villain that's ALWAYS been very high on my wish-list. The figure looks pretty good, too. And in 25th Anniversary SECRET WARS package! Now I hope they do the rest of the Wrecking Crew. and I also saw a blue, furry Beast (the good one, not the cat, LOL) and Cyclops 2-pack, but the packaging was "Marvel Heroes" not "Marvel Universe". I wonder if there's a (size) difference?

Okay, so I finally saw a Marvel Universe figure, my K-Mart had one Iron Man left, with no price.
So I get to the check-out-----and that Iron Man figure- no bigger than my finger- is $9.99!!!!!
Maybe Wal-Mart or somewhere will have them cheaper, but 10 bucks, man, I don't think I'll be picking up any of these. I don't want to sound cheap, but that's too much for me.

Here are some notes I found on www.action-figure.com concerning Hasbro's Marvel products. It didn't say, so I assume all points are concerning the 3 3/4" line (which makes me mad -- the Invaders 4-pack would be cool, Marvel Legends-style!!). Gigantic Battles was another thing we found at nycc, which I suppose is one large figure and one small figure. Hank Pym (blue-suit Goliath) and a giant Skrull with new-school Captain America are on the way. It was also hinted that Galactus will be coming as well.
SDCC will have a single carded black and white cap in "frozen ice block" packaging.
SDCC also has an Invaders 4-pack with old school Torch, Sub-Mariner, Red Skull with his horn and Captain America.Any guesses what the heck the Red Skull's "horn" is??

Any guesses what the heck the Red Skull's "horn" is?? You mean guesses that aren't inappropriate? ;D But seriously, any sort of Red Skull and Invaders action figures will surely be incredibly cool! I can't wait for the Goliath one.

Tana -- Any interest in these guys for your comic room?? They ship in November from Diamond Select Toys. OOH, I am most definitely interested in those mini-mates! I have a Thanos (not that Thanos), Gamora, and Nova, but no Warlock or Drax. They would look good on the shelf with my other ones. I need to post some new pics. My 'sanctum sanctorum' has had a few new additions!

Check this out. I am really excited to see the two Goliath figures -- the classic blue/yellow and the Buscema-era red/blue variant. I can't really tell the scale, though. I know the Marvel Universe figures are 3 3/4", so I am guessing that the Goliath will be around 9". That would put him in scale with Marvel Legends at around his 10' height -- perfect for the Avengers period right after Hank's and Jan's return to the team circa Avengers #26-28. Note: for the pix, scroll all the way to the bottom of this link. Some of you young 'uns may be interested in the Secret Invasion two-pack with Bucky and the Giant-Man Skrull. www.cooltoyreview.com/story/front/Hasbro_Marvel_Universe_Exclusive_Interview_124505.asp

Thanks again dlw66. I hope I can find that red/blue Goliath. And I hope it's scale fits in with Marvel Legends. Man, I'm bummed about no more Marvel Legends. The Marvel Universe stuff is just more of the same, really not worth it for me; but I never got a ML GiantMan or Goliath, so my fingers are crossed. The Klaw and Thunderball would be nice, too, but I have a feeeling those Secret War 2-packs ain't gonna be cheap. I just miss digging for Marvel Legends stuff. Everything is tied to cartoons, now. I know I raved about the Brave and the Bold stuff, but it's not as cool as I anticipated ( I do love the Black Manta, though). And I would've picked up the Iron Patriot figure, but the with the whole Dark Reign debacle, I don't want anything to do with it. I DID find a loose ML Wonder Man for cheap at my LCS. Now I just need loose Hawkeye and Iceman. BTW, has anyone seen any Marvel Legends Nemesis series' show up at their stores??? I really wanted that Tigra, even tho the face looked pretty bad. The BlackBolt and Nova would be cool, too.

Sometimes I wish I'd started collecting Marvel Mini-Mates. If you're a Hank Pym or Angel fan, you'll love these latest waves!! There are also some cosmic-types who would fit in wonderfully with the dudes above.

Not really action figures (unless you have a *very* large house ;D) but I didn't know where else to post them. From London's Madame Tusseaud museum

Apologies for the broken links just above -- Marvelous News has pulled the story about the Series 30-31 Mini-Mates. You should have been able to see, among others, Yellowjacket, blue/yellow Goliath, Angel in his original blue/yellow X-costume and in his blue/white costume (as seen in the Neal Adams era), and a Captain Mar-Vell. I'll look for new pics!

Here's another look at the Goliath that is coming as part of the Marvel Universe 3 3/4" line. I am still guessing that this figure is around 10-11" tall, putting him at around 10 feet scale with Marvel Legends.

The red/yellow Daredevil looked pretty cool too, but money is tight, so I stuck to my wish-list. The Tigra figures face looks better than the promo shots I had seen, a pretty nice figure, and the Black Bolt is very well done, IMO. the Nova is okay, the star on the helmet is a bit overdone. This series was originally announced around Fall 07, I believe (I looked thru some old Toyfares), so it was a nice surprise when I saw them on the racks. I still haven't decided if I'm gonna open this series up or not. Hopefully that's not the last of Marvel Legends.

That's cool, Starfoxxx! I will be on the lookout as well. This is one of the best all-around series in a long time. I think that's in part due to no movie figures. Hasbro question, and this applies not only to Marvel Legends but also to the Marvel Universe line: don't you think the skin tones, regardless of what color skin we're talking about, are flat? Everyone looks really pasty, with no depth to their features. I'm also still not crazy about the $10+ price tag, either... That may keep me away.

Here's a link that shows pix of the Goliath figure. Just doing a little simple math, I am pretty sure that Goliath is a hair over 9 1/2", so still close to what 10 feet would look like compared to Marvel Legends. comicfigs.net/charPage.php?S=MUGB01&C=IronMan&V=0

Ahhhhhhh! Now they've announced Piledriver and the Enchantress figures for the 3" Marvel Universe Secret Wars line. Man, I've been hoping for an Enchantress and Wrecking Crew figures for a long time....... but I wish these were for the regular Marvel Legends size.

Starfoxxx, did you ever get the MU Goliath? I have been wanting the blue one, but have never seen it (other than on eBay). Here's a comparison shot I found on Marvelousnews.com of the new Goliath and the Wal-Mart BAF from a few years ago.

Here's a comparison shot I found on Marvelousnews.com of the new Goliath and the Wal-Mart BAF from a few years ago. No, I haven't seen it anywhere. Fortunately, my LCS had a MarvelLegends Goliath (w/ tiny Ant-man & Wasp) for $20, and since it was @ Christmas, I treated myself. So I still haven't picked up any of the 3 3/4" line, and don't really plan to. I would like an Iron Man w/pointy mask, though.

I saw this Galactus earlier today -- going to be 19" tall and available in October. It's in the Marvel Universe line, but again, should fit in well with Marvel Legends. This fellow should be a few inches taller than the ML BAF. Not a huge difference in the two figures other than the details of the helmet.

That iron Man is awesome! Galactus not so much. Jack Kirby loved those huge, elaborate head-pieces! They look fine in comics but in real life they really don't work. I should know--I dressed up as Thor for Halloween a few years ago and it was hell going through doorways without catching a wing tip on the frame! Then it was really hell when I got too close to a ceiling fan and suddenly my Norse helmet became a deadly projectile! After the decapitation of several party guests, I decided to skip the fancy head-wear in the future.

Wow, I know this is old news, but my LCS just informed me about new Marvel Legends waves for 2012.
i'm really only (highly) interested in Thunderball, Constrictor, and Klaw so far (waves 1 +2), maybe Drax and Madame Masque.
Please let me know when anyone starts seeing these in stores! Thanks.
