Lucky grab on Namor, BK. He definitely was short-packed. I couldn't bring myself to buy the 2-packs, even when Wal-Mart droppped the price to $11. I just can't convince myself that Cable, Bishop, or even Domino are relevant to the Marvel Universe I grew up reading. More like What If? characters. I would have loved a Cannonball (or any original New Mutant) in the Black and Yellow New Mutant uniform. The pink/purple costume is gross.
Tigra, Union Jack, and Nova have always been high on my ML wish list. Next I would love to see the rest of Avengers Infinity, Starfox Quasar Moondragon (classic green, please) also Stingray (of course) and Avengers villains Grim Reaper Wrecking Crew (box set?) Enchantress and Titania (although I'm disappointed in some of the female sculpts, Wanda and Shulkie esp.)
FLASH FORWARD to 2016....
Jeesh, 8 years later and we got the entire Wrecking Crew (Bulldozer was a bummer of a holdout though. They ARE among the BEST Marvel Legends figures ever though.) Grim Reaper (another great job, he's almost as massive as the Wrecking Crew guys)
STILL waiting on that Enchantress...
pretty sure everyone got a 3 3/4 figure by now (Starfox was in a $$ box set, STILL too $$ even loose on ebay)
BUT no Moondragon, Titania (?) ....or STINGRAY!!!! c'mon now!

And an Ultron, that acutally looks like Ultron.
Unfortunately, Ultron now looks like a bland metallic-colored woman for no particular reason...so I don't think we'll be getting that. Ultron was such a cool-looking villain, it's downright criminal that he never got proper representation (three Ultron figures, to my knowledge, and not a single one of them was based on a comic design or even had his signature down-facing antennae).
Now it looks like Series 4 (Tigra, Nova, Black Bolt) won't ship until mid-April. Bummer. I enjoy "hunting"for Avengers at local Wal-Marts. My Marvel Legends Avengers I've assembled include
Cap (Series 1 and 40's "origin") Thor Iron Man (Gene Colan era/Origin,/ Thorbuster,/Siver+red/and "pointy-mask") Wasp (modern and red "variant") Goliath (w/Wasp/Ant-man) Yellowjacket Hawkeye (classic, Marvel Select, and 2014 "modern") Vision (classic and "white") Scarlet Witch (2005 and 2015 version) Wonder Man Beast Hercules Black Knight Black Panther (modern and classic) Black Widow Ant-Man Falcon Quicksilver (blue and green) She-Hulk (modern and "Savage") Namor (classic and 70s) Spider-Woman II (Black Costume) Ms. Marvel Tigra US Agent Machine Man! Hellcat! Giant-Man (Avengers Academy/Hank Pym costume) War Machine (2015) >>>New Avengers<<< Spider-Man (origin, classic, Black, and Iron) Wolverine (Brown, the best Wolvie Costume IMO,) Spider-Woman (2006 and 2015 versions) Luke Cage Iron Fist Dr. Strange Nova (Secret Avengers) Captain Britain (Secret Avengers) Valkyrie (Secret Avengers) in 2015 ----and Avenger "Associates", (again IMO) Capt. Marvel I Hulk (Origin Grey + Green, and Hulk Classic, Age of Ultron 2015)) Moon Knight Thing (FF series) Mr. Fantastic (box set) Invisible Woman (box set) Sandman (Spidey series)
--and Avengers villains Dr.Doom (FF series) MODOK a Skrull (Marvel Select version) a Hydra Agent Baron Zemo (I and II) Loki (crown of lies "variant"/and classic) Absorbing Man Kang Mystique (she fought them with Freedom Force) Klaw -2012 wave 1- Constrictor -2012 Thunderball -2012 wave 2- Piledriver -2012 Madame Masque -2012 Ultron (ML and "classic") Wrecker Titanium Man Hyperion Red Skull Radioactive Man Thanos (Marvel Select, with Death and Infinity Gauntlet) Batroc! Grim Reaper Blizzard Tiger Shark (nice figure!) Thundra (not really a villain though) Bulldozer---FINALLY, in 2015 Speed Demon in 2016 Cottonmouth (nice!) in 2016 Whirlwind (really nice!) in 2016 Red Guardian (2016) and my favorite ML so far, Taskmaster.

Well, my Wal-mart dropped the price for the 2-packs to $6, so I broke down and bought the Cable/Marvel Girl set, just for that Jean Grey in the classic mini-skirt. Even for that cheap, I still can't waste $$ on Cannonball/ Domino. I only want the Legends of classic characters and especially the ones who are 1st time figures. Cable, Deadpool, Domino, and movie figures just don't interest me. I want the Wrecking Crew!!!
Just picked up Kang the Conqueror at Wal-Mart. Looks good body-wise -- head could be just a bit larger, and I wish the helmet/face sculpt was a bit more Bronze Age looking. Other than that, he's looking sinister standing alongside Loki, Baron Zemo, and the Taskmaster! Now, if they'll just re-do Ultron (and not as a girl!!)...
Just saw this photo, from the NY Comicon. Hasbro will be making 2-packs, exclusively to Wal-Mart in Fall 2009. They will contain one 3 3/4" figure and one 12-13" figure. I am going to be all over this particular 2-pack, just to get the Goliath to set alongside the Marvel Legends BAF Giant-Man of a few years back!!
I see a broken image. Know of anywhere where I can see this?
Weird. Sometimes the image shows up and other times it doesn't. Anyway, right-click and choose Properties, and then copy and paste the link into your browser. You should see a cool image with "pointy-mask" Iron Man and Goliath in all his blue and gold glory (and they even got the goggles right this time!!).
EDIT: By the way, MSRP on these is $25 -- a little steep for the Goliath (as I am not interested in starting a 3 3/4" line), but at least half of what Giant-Man goes for on Ebay...
A local shop has a Yellowjacket Marvel figure for... $18.95. Is that a realistic price?
Unfortunately, on the secondary market that may be what you'll pay. Since Hasbro got the license for Marvel Legends, the retail prices went up to $10.99 -- which is why I don't go crazy over these anymore. Now I really only pick and choose the ones I want. If we were still dealing with ToyBiz prices, for example, I would have bought the Golden Age Cap and Bucky. Passed on them now, though.
Your best bet might be to go to a show or convention, where you have some negotiating power on price.
