As we wait the untold number of weeks for the final issue of the current series, anyone care to guess who and what might appear in Jeph Loeb's upcoming ULTIMATES 3 run? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say... Ultimate Kang. ;D Unless he decides to expand on Millar's Ultron robots and give us a single, badass, uber-eeeevil Ultimate Ultron (hey, isn't that sort of redundant?) Okay, those were easy guesses. But we've scarcely seen any real, old-time Avengers villains so far. And I have read that Loeb plans a somewhat different direction and take on the book than Millar (a development I greet with equal parts interest and trepidation! Millar freaks me out-- sometimes in a good way, sometimes not...) Thoughts? Guesses? (Maybe Ultimate Stilt-Man?? Ultimate Klaw??? Ultimate Super Adaptoid?!?!?! Hey, I can dream, can't I???)

No idea. But i'll give it a chance. Joe Madureira's pencils looked real good on the preview sketches. No idea about Loeb, but what i hear, isn't exciting.
We'll see. I dropped Ultimates v2 in the beggining, and i'll give Ultimate v3 a shot.

Like Van, I do feel it's time for the Ultimate take on a classic villain. A new Masters of Evil could be a possibility, and since Namor was introduced in UFF, that opens possibilities as well. I enjoy Loeb's Superman/Batman work -- he has a classic appreciation for super-heroes, unlike what we see elsewhere in the Avengers pantheon...

Many times I have thought to myself that if Ultimates actually came out monthly I would drop NA and just get ultimates, and get my Avengers fix that way. Do we know if Ultimates 3 is supposed to be monthly or not?

From what I have heard, Hitch's art was always late -- that was the hang-up on delivery. Hopefully that won't be the case in this next installment (although Hitch's art always ended up being well worth the wait!!).

I am looking forward to Ultimates 3.

Ultimate Kang/Immortus would be indeed great as well as (one) Ultimate Ultron (seems, we always get back to characters we like and know so well). But, hopefully, please, not a ultimate version in the way they did it with Gah-Lac-Tus - I´m not too happy with this organism concept, I´m missing too much of our good old Galactus the one and only World Devourer (though I liked Reed´s idea how they defeated Gah-Lac-Tus. Galactus is one of the reasons I like the Surfer´s Annihilation book so much, Van. And for Joe Madureira I must say, I only can hope he adapt´s his style - don´t like my Avengers mangarized in no way. For sure, I´ll be buying every ongoing Avengers series but Madureira could give me a hard time, not unlike the way Bendis does for the most of you in this forum. Wait and see...
