.....DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DO NOT WISH SPOILERS!
The identity of the new Ronin is....
....
....
...
CLINT BARTON! Information provided by MazingMan over at the DC Message Boards, who was succesfully spoiled each and every issue of 52 a day or two early, so he's definitely reliable.

Okay.
Now I must ask... why? What does Clint get out of being Ronin? Why did Bendis...
oh, forget it. It's not worth trying to figure him out. I just have to wait patiently until he's fired...

As I said a couple of days ago: I am not missing this stuff. My $3 ($6 if you count MA) is going to better uses.

I never doubt the sources of Doom! Thanks for the intel. At least it's a man in the man suit this time.

If he starts firing Katanas out of his bow instead of arrows that would be like, totally AWESOME!!!!

I said this originally but I really agreed with Tan here.
This doesn't make much sense,.. but I guess we can give up on expecting sense.

uh-oh the internet just got broke in half again. or is that sixteenths by now? thanks for the info and I won't shoot the messenger. I'm going to have to look back at other new Ronin appearances before I give an opinion on this. If bendis has shown him or will show him acting like a samurai or kung fu master it's idiocy. if he's just shown him to have incredible skill with throwable weapons, I may have to concede the point that he hasn't at least completely been out of character. by the way, Vision is back as is Hawkeye. How long before Scott Lang pops up and the triumvirate of big Avenger deaths that kicked off disassembled are undone?

Is anyone surprised? Anyone? It's as pointless to ask "why Clint" as it is to ask "why kill him in AD, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to kill him in HoM, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to make him into Clint Barton, Ninja?"

It's as pointless to ask "why Clint" as it is to ask "why kill him in AD, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to kill him in HoM, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to make him into Clint Barton, Ninja?" RSC That's just a whole, ugly can of worms you're opening there, but it boils down to a single question: why hire Bendis to write Avengers. And the answer is: because you can see a product two ways. You can sell a quality product to discerning consumers, or you can sell a bad product with a lot of marketing that keeps people buying it anyway. And that last one is Marvel's current strategic choice.

RSC must admit I slept this point. Wonder if when Cap comes back he'll be wearing a red white and blue ninja outfit? an exalt for you and your thoroughness with all things Bendis and ninjas.

Well apparantly it wasn't so insane and nonsensical considering the vast majority of fans had already guessed it, myself included, RSC. I mean, you're perfectly within your rights to judge long before reading it, which I doubt you ever will though I'm sure you'll pass comment on those of us who do. Of course, I've come to expect that by now.

But the ability to guess only means Bendis has become predictable, not that he's any good.
I worked with someone, years ago, who was a total screw-up. You could predict what he'd do by asking yourself, "What's the dumbest thing someone might do in this situation?" His name wasn't Bendis but it might as well have been, as far as New Avengers is concerned.

Predictable is not exclusive of nonsensical where Bendis is concerned. In New Avengers the nonsensical is very predictable.

Surprised? Not at all. But at least the story is pretty good beyond this non-shocker and the craptastic art. Is anyone surprised? Anyone? It's as pointless to ask "why Clint" as it is to ask "why kill him in AD, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to kill him in HoM, only to resurrect him in HoM, only to make him into Clint Barton, Ninja?" Are we absolutely sure it's NOT Echo in a Clint Barton suit in a Ronin suit?

Are we absolutely sure it's NOT Echo in a Clint Barton suit in a Ronin suit? Now that's f***ing funny! But seriously, we can be sure it's not Echo in a Clint Barton Suit in a Ronin Suit, because there are panels that show both Echo and Clint/Ronin together. Unless, of course, it's revealed that we're looking at an as-yet-unrevealed hero in an Echo suit together with Echo in a Clint Barton Suit in a Ronin Suit. RSC

Its actually Dr. Doom in a Captain America Suit, in a Clint Barton Suit, in a Ronin suit. After the shock of being Clint Barton wears off, the Shock of being Cap will easily let Doom become leader of the New Avengers, and then....then everything will be where Doom wants it.
Doom will lead His New Avengers, (All covered in Symbiotes apparently) and Destroy the Mighty Avengers.

I didn't see it, but I'd have said it.
Just because it's happened doesn't make it now sane and sensical...

Unless, of course, it's revealed that we're looking at an as-yet-unrevealed hero in an Echo suit together with Echo in a Clint Barton Suit in a Ronin Suit. And who is that hero? Why, Ronin, of course! Wait... what do you mean Ronin was never a real... aw, geez, now I gotta figure it out all over again. Wait... could it be Tony Stark in a Girltron suit in a Ronin suit?

Wait... could it be Tony Stark in a Girltron suit in a Ronin suit? In Mighty, I'm betting it's Adolf Hitler in a Hate-Monger suit in a Tony Stark suit in the Iron Man suit in an Ultron suit in a Busty Jan suit. RSC
