Wolverine? All that has sucked about X-Men is summed up in that over-powered Jack Russel. I can't believe a major storyline involved the return of Magneto either. Did Bendis only ever read X-Men and ignore Avengers?
Hey here's an idea - the Avengers hunt down the remaining prisoners from the prison breakout that necessitated their reformation in the first place. I refuse to accept Sauron as the pinnacle of the storyline

Loved the concept for this, I thought this would give the new team a chance to wail on some villians not normally associated with the Avengers. Then poof..... nothing.

Remember the Assassin? The woman who agreed to kill the Avengers in exchange for some huge amount of money somewhere in the 100s?
I'd like to see something like that. A clear plan to attack the Avengers from an unpowered opponent that forces the Avengers to try and fight a threat they can't quite see and counter a plan they can't quite get a hold of.

No, not nothing. You were given ninjas. Duh to you ;D Oh ho... not so. The NINJAS in question did not break out of the ... what the hell was that prison called... the Raft or something stupid like that. So fighting them was not a tie in to Breakout. Or was it, because they were after Silver Samurai. Well whatever... in this case nothing is better than NINJAS.

I think the Assassin story (#'s 145-46), while some around here (maybe besides engage) have testified to liking it, was a low point for me. It came right in the middle of the Serpent Crown/Squadron Supreme story and it featured Don Heck art when Don was well past the height of his powers. I was a disappointed laddie until Perez kicked back in.

exaltation for making me squirt milk out of my nose, Ua. You're right, the Avengers lost that fight already.
Seriously though, there are still sore feelings between Tony and T'challa right now. Plus the fact that Ben Grimm left the country and Johnny Storm fought with the resistance. So picture this.
Tony comes to see the FF, as it is right now, and in his usual haughty manner commences in telling them why they were wrong and he was right. Hilarity ensues.
