The convention schedule for AA! for 2008 is already taking shape. You can buy a copy of ASSEMBLED! (or a Sentinels book!) and get it/them signed, meet some of the Jarvis Heads, etc. I have accepted an invitation to be a guest of the first OmegaCon in Birmingham, AL, on March 14-16, 2008. portal.omegacon.us/I know that at least one or two other Jarvis Heads will be in attendance as well. We will also have a table at HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC, June 20-22, 2008. www.heroesonline.com/heroescon.htmlAnd of course there is always DragonCon on Labor Day weekend. More info as it develops.

Three more convention appearances to announce. Looks like 2008 will be a very busy year! April 25-27: Chicago-- Windy City Pulp and Paperback Conventionwww.windycitypulpandpaper.comJune 27-29: Nashville-- HyperiConwww.hypericon.info/index.php(First visit to this one. They haven't added me to the guest list on the main page as of yet, but they say it's coming.) October 3-5: St. Louis-- Archonwww.archonstl.org/32/index.phpPlus, I will be doing a signing of ASSEMBLED alongside two of the book's contributors at Kingdom Comics in Birmingham, probably the Thursday before OmegaCon. We will also be playing "Stump the Geeks" or something to that effect-- defeat us in Avengers-related trivia and win prizes! (Won't be that hard to beat me-- I know the eras I love, but otherwise, I'm no particular genius at it.) I hope some of you in the neighborhood of any of these shows will come by and say hello!!

Man, HeroCon was a lot of fun last year. If my future in-laws weren't moving from Charlotte to Pittsburgh, I'd be down there in a flash. But, alas . . .
However, perhaps I'll give some consideration to the Chicago one. Is it an actual comic convention? As in, are there going to be comics there?

The Windy City Con is pretty small and is mostly "pulp" related. Lots of Doc Savage and the Shadow and Conan and the like. It's a lot of fun, getting to hang out with dealers and writers and artists, but not really a comics thing. I sell the various White Rocket books there and just hang out. It's a relatively short trip for me from southern Illinois.
