Wow, over two weeks with NO posts, I guess everyone got really busy after Labor Day. I'm surprised there wasn't more reaction to the ANT-MAN movie, I was really impressed. I also can't wait til the end of the week when AVENGERS 2 comes out on DVD!
My life tends to slow down AFTER summer, so I've been able to do some reading, and (sadly) got to the CLOSING of my LCS for a few visits and to pick up some old comics for cheap! I got a bunch of mid-90s AVENGERS for 25-cents apiece, and after checking out a few of them, I STILL think I overpaid, ha-ha! That Proctor storyline was soooo lame and drawn out....P-U! And some mid-90s West Coast Avengers comics, too. They seemed to be going for that more gritty, "extreme" 90s style of super-heroes, but VERY poorly executed! I liked the "FUN" WCA from the earlier issues of the run. I also got some late 70s AVENGERS stuff.....I really love the team when it had Beast and Wonder Man.
Anyhoo, I ALSO got some Marvel MOTION COMICS (DVDs) from my library, and I really like this format. The ASTONISHING X-MEN and WOLVERINE VS SABRETOOTH DVDs were great to watch. I can't wait to check out the ETERNALS and INHUMANS motion comics...
Has anyone checked these out yet?? And if so, what did you think? It's pretty much what it says, comic book panels (from the original comic book) in motion, with music, sound effects, and voice actors.

Mid-90s AVENGERS for 25-cents apiece? Yeah, you got ripped off. Very sad about the closing of your LCS. I grieve with you. I'm lucky in that I've got a lot of LCS's near me. I still haven't seen Ant-Man, though of course it's on my to-do list. I've never seen, or really even heard of, motion comics, but it sounds interesting.

Yeah, it's always sad to hear of a comic store closing down.
I've heard of motion comics though have yet to watch any of them. I've also yet to see Ant-Man nor buy Avengers 2 on blu-ray. Though I'm a bit disappointed. Season 1 of the Flash on DVD apparently comes with nearly 3 hours of bonus content yet the Avengers 2 DVD apparently has only 45 minutes of bonus material. What gives?!

Yes, my copy of AVENGERS 2 DVD had just a Behind the Scenes/Locations Bonus (very short) and no commentary.....I think the Blu-ray DVD has all the good Extras. Guess I'm one of the few without a Blu-Ray player.
