Okay, here's the corollary to the fave female Avengerss thread: post your favorite moments for the male Avengers. I have plenty, but I'll start with this, from #4--of course it's when Cap officially joins the Avengers. Kirby's Cap looks every inch the hero. I'm always moved when I see this particular panel; I love the smile here, his stance.

Gotta love this one. Hawkeye kisses Deathbird after defeating her. Insult to injury at its best.

Man, something seems to have gone wildly wrong with the way ProBoards is functioning, here. Can't pull up recent posts. . . mis-directed to other threads. . . recent posts not showing up in their threads. . . yeesh, what's goin' on?
One of my particular Favorite "Male" moments is near the end of #58. Preceding the superb "Even an android can cry" panel, we have an all-too-rare scene where the guys have taken there masks off in order to extend their heartfelt invitation to Vizh. It's such a small detail, in a way, but it conveys the perfect sense of an easy camaraderie among brothers.

Great choices, HB and Spiderwasp! Re Hawkeye and Deathbird--well, he's not exactly Sir Galahad, is he--unlike, say, Dane Whitman.

And here's another favorite male moment of mine. This one involves the ever-popular Hawkeye, from #29. Hawkeye has just let then-Avengers antagonist Black Widow escape. He expects Cap to be angry, but instead Cap is sympathetic. For much the preceding year's worth of issues Hawkeye and Cap were like oil and water, but after this issue Hawk became one of Cap's staunchest supporters.

My memory stinks, but Hawkeye probably has most of my favorite male moments. There was the time when he was the last Avenger standing against the Collector, there is the time he defeated She-Hulk in that Avengers/WCA Annual crossoever with the Grandmaster & Death, there is the moment that Spiderwasp shows above...I know there are a few other times when Hawkeye was hopelessly outgunned, but managed to use his guile and resourcefulness to save the day.

Hey Guys--the most memorable male moment that jumps into my head is the Vision, when offered Simon Williams' human body if he'd help the Reaper kill the Avengers, and that last panel where the Vision just says "yes." Classic, classic cliff-hanger. I remember as a kid being shocked that the Vision was going to stab the Avengers in the back, and I couldn't wait for the next issue to see what happens!! I think this happened in Avengers 102.
And let's not forget Antman going into the Vision's body in Avengers #93 (amazing art from Neal Adams. Antman never looked better!

Bobc, you reminded me of Ant-Man in #161, kicking the Avenbers' butts, when he had flipped his lid.

OK, here's another favorite male Avenger "moment" of mine. And Bobc, I know you like T'Challa and John Buscema--so this one's for you! The young T'Challa from Avengers #77, Buscema/Palmer art. Gotta love those Buscema cheekbones.

Gotta love those Buscema cheekbones. I'd have to look for it, but it was probably around this time that there was a page where the Black Panther was relaxing at Avengers Mansion by reading some poetry, IIRC. That was one if the things that made me like him, aside from the cool look.

Ultron69, that sounds intriguing--would love to know more about it, either the issue number (if you have time to check) or more of the context. Btw the T'Challa pic I posted is from 1970-- my Golden Age
