Ugh, I am so far behind. I haven't been able to journey to my LCS in over a month so I've yet to read this issue nor Annual #1. Hopefully, I will make it this weekend. (Along with the UA books, Starlin's brand-new Thanos Annual with art by Ron Lim was released last week too. Soo looking forward to that issue as well).

Hi Starry--yeah I'm still buying it and really like it. It's not perfect but still it's the closest book to old school Avengers that we have.
Actually New Avengers and Avengers suddenly stopped treading water and Hickman is actually starting to wrap up some of the 10,000 dangling plot lines that he seemed to have forgotten about for a year or so.

Hi Starry--yeah I'm still buying it and really like it. It's not perfect but still it's the closest book to old school Avengers that we have. Isn't it crazy that with the number of Avengers titles at an all-time (maybe?) high, there's only one book we consider "close" to the comic we loved so much? And they have to share it with a bunch of stinkin' muties, ha-ha! Actually, I really don't mind the X-men in there. I was a big-time X-men fan back in the 80s too, but Uncanny Avengers is the only X-book that looks good nowadays. I always wanted more X-men to join the Avengers, especially Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, or Sunfire. I was really excited with the cover to Avengers #267.... www.coverbrowser.com/image/avengers/267-11.jpgd**n you Kang!

Actually New Avengers and Avengers suddenly stopped treading water and Hickman is actually starting to wrap up some of the 10,000 dangling plot lines that he seemed to have forgotten about for a year or so. I think it happens in Sept, but both titles are going to jump 8 months into the future as they deal with the Final Incursion event. So yeah, Hickman seems about ready to start tying threads up. As for #20, still LOVING this title. That one page of scenes with Kang confronting Emin, telling her how all her plans (and her brother's death) were for naught and how she fulfilled the only purpose she ever had, that was so cold and brutal, loved it. The scenes where Shiro and Logan confront the remaining Horsemen, those had emotional weight to them, Shiro's feelings of betrayal here felt more dramatic than Steve's feelings of betrayal by Tony over in Avengers. Thor's little speech at the end about needing unity to overcome this disaster was a nice touch as well. Can't wait to see what happens back in the past.
