I know that I am going to go see the movie, I don't care what anyone say's about the trailer.

The trailer is awesome!!! It looks like Marvel has a smashing hit with this movie. If all the individual movies did very well at the theatres, imagine what this movie will do. RDJ is the best! You have to admit that he carries this entire trailer. Of all the heroes, Iron Man looks the best, especially when he comes splashing out of the water straight up and heads for the city.

I know that I am going to go see the movie, I don't care what anyone say's about the trailer. Oh yeah, I think that's pretty much a given for everyone on the board, GF. And the lesson that's been driven home to me, particularly in the last year or so, is that the trailers & their corresponding films are practically two different creatures, with different goals. A pretty good trailer (Thor) doesn't necessarily mean a great film (IMO). A questionable trailer (Cap's), doesn't properly reflect a rather good film. Of course, Conan's HORRIBLE trailer was right on the money. . . Two things I particularly like about this Avengers trailer is that, 1) It doesn't give away THE ENTIRE FILM in 90 seconds, which has been the appalling trend in the last couple of years. It's engaging, and sets up enough circumstances to draw us in-- but it doesn't spoil the movie's best moments. And, 2) It gives us just enough face time of the characters to pique our interest. Everyone looks and sounds good. Oh man, no Hank & Jan, though-! HB

I don't care at all humanbelly, I don't like it when someone judges a movie trailer without giving the movie a chance.
It's like everyone think's they are experts at what movies are terrible, THE CONAN TRAILER WAS NOT HORRIBLE.
I heard everyone say the suits in the Avengers were terrbile but I don't care if everyone thinks they are experts of the Avengers then how come I don't hear your name at Marvel.

Well, trailers exist for the sole purpose of convincing a potential audience to watch a movie, so it's normal to form a preliminary opinion based on them, otherwise producers could just as well save the money. It's like you shouldn't judge a comic book from its cover, but the reason why they do have cover images instead of a blank page is to lure you in.
Incidentally, I didn't like Thor's trailer but I think it's the best Marvel movie since Spidey 2, whereas I liked Cap's trailer but the film left me cold. I now really like this Avengers trailer, which is a bit worrying ^^
