A review of Secret Avengers #16. Well, this was good. I'm not sure why this title warrants the $3.99 price , but this was a pretty good read. I liked the story (very scientific, with a James Bond-y vibe, esp. the "atomic convertible") Sure it's silly---but it's comic book stuff, and that's why I read comics. When i want "gritty" stories, I can watch the news. I liked how Ellis wrote Cap/Steve and Moon Knight. And Beast was super-intelligent; his dialogue helps move the complex/clunky details, but I still hate Hank as a giant cat. I DON'T like Natasha's dialogue or characterization, but everyone else is good. The art was nice. And this issue actually featured a TEAM! So far I'll stick with it. it didn't blow me away, but I liked it. I just hope Ellis can bring some creativity to the plots, which have been pretty lame in Secret Avengers so far. Surely he can come up with something more original than the other Avenger-writer. I just saw a solicit for the "New, Dark Avengers"! Man, bendis sure can beat a concept to death. ' Any opinions/comments?

This was probably the best issue to date, not great but not bad either. The Beast was somewhat back to his more ironic self, which I prefer over the scientist
