Whenever I post something someone always has a bad feeling.
Maybe I shouldn't post anything that is........RELATED TO THE AVENGERS MOVIE.

No need to get overly sensitive GF. The link is appreciated--but looking at the costumes for CA and Hawkeye make me fear for this movie. That's all I'm saying.

Fans can never accept anything these days it's always....THE FANS KNOW THE CHARACTERS BETTER THAN COMIC COMPAINES.
Well I don't any fans working for the compaines since complain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.
The support for EMH on Disney--if you look at any number of comic forums--is almost completely unanimous! I agree that comic fans can be overly picky about every little detail, but people are just discussing something they love. Thunderbolts is amazing, so is Avengers Academy IMO.
EMH is a complete love-fest, thread after thread.
And by the way, after reading Marvel since 1972--yeah, I'd wager I know and CARE more about the characters than half the hacks in the industry right now. And after spending thousands and thousands of dollars on Marvel-- I'm entitled to an opinion.

I'm with Bob. There are certainly some people that can't be satisfied with anything but I believe that most are like me. We are clamoring for things to enjoy. As Bob said, Avengers Academy is fantastic. So is Children's Crusade. I haven't had any problem with the She-Hulks limited series or either of the recent Hawkeye series. Even the Ant-man/Wasp series was well received despite feelings that Hank Pym shouldn't be calling himself Wasp. The series was still very good. Even though I'm not as big a fan, many older viewers are loving Secret Avengers. It's not my cup of tea but I have nothing against it. Guardians of the Galaxy was extremely well received. I haven't seen much bashing going on toward any of these books because they are well written. On the other hand, I've seen consistent bashing going on for many of the other books. I think it is a ridiculous cop-out to simply brush off our criticisms as being "People will complain about everything." So, does this mean that no matter how bad the writing gets and how badly characterizations are handled, it's all the fan's fault for not being accepting? I don't think and am insulted by the implication.
This whole thing reminds me of the 3rd season of Lost. The first season was one of the best shows of recent years. The second was good but not as brilliant as the first. The third (IMO) was almost unwatchable. Viewership dropped off dramatically. The writers/producers were interviewed and blamed the viewers for not having the ability to stick with the series rather than own up to the fact that the quality had gone down. I heard that things improved later but I never tuned back in. I might have if the writers had admitted that they had taken some wrong turns and were working to correct them rather than attack the intelligence of the fans. Desperate Housewives had similar problems during their 2nd season but, in interviews, the writers said they realized they had put too much focus on new characters and had not had enough of the interactions between the central characters that fans loved. They promised to work on those areas and when the did, the show improved again. I felt that was a respectful and sensible way to handle it. The handling of the problems at Marvel are handled more like Lost. If we don't like what's being done, it's our fault, not the writers. We just aren't smart enough to appreciate what they are doing. As Bob said, "Nonsense."

Hi SW! I never watched "Lost," but will now that you recommended it so highly. I live for great pop culture moments. I was STUNNED at how good the first three seasons of The Sopranos were, even though I was turned on to them long after they had originally aired. I couldn't stop watching them! But then the 4th season came around and I was like "what the hell?" I could tell something had changed--and surprise surprise! I did a little snooping online and found out that the writers had meant for the Sopranos to only go on for three seasons--and got talked into making more episodes because HBO threw tons of money at them! Didn't help the quality at all, sad to say.
Anyhow--I like the Secret Avengers okay. I find the choice of characters, however, really strange with the exception of Moon Knight and Ant Man. It's not that I don't like the characters, I like all the characters--always thought Valkyrie would make a great Avenger--but I guess having the more stealthy, secretive Avengers on this team would have made better sense IMO.
I happen to enjoy reading what other readers have to say, that''s why I come here. And if you think we don't like what Bendis did to the Avengers, check out CBR...

As far as I'm concerned, there are several current Marvel titles I'm really enjoying / have really enjoyed. The problem is that with a few exceptions they are all small, hardly advertised minis / LS. The only exception is Amazing Spider-Man, which for me now is probably at it's best since the very early Straczinsky days. The current issue was so-so, but the previous several were top notch.
Other titles I'm enjoying or have recently enjoyed, in no particular order, are Children's Crusade, I Am An Avenger (well, issues 1 and 3-5), Steve Rogers Super Soldier, Ant-Man & Wasp, Thunderbolts, Thunderstrike, Captain America and Batroc, Astonishing Thor, Loki, Captain America - Hail Hydra, Iron Man & Thor, Thanos Imperative, and the EMH tie-in.
And sadly how many of these have had any real advertising? Even here probably not everyone has heard of them. Not to mention that only Thunderbolts and Astonishing Thor are continuing series.
EDIT: I had forgot Academy!

Most fans hate a ceratin someone at the companies, and I always had to defend the Sentry whenever someone said bad things about him. I DON'T THINK HE IS A USELESS CHARACTER.

Golden--you are perfectly entitled to like the Sentry and Bendis. I didn't have any problem with the Sentry until you know who started saying he had the power of a "million exploding suns." That's just too powerful for any character IMO--nobody, not all of Marvel and DC put together, could have a prayer against him. There was an Avengers story arc a long time ago that was pretty interesting--it was about Thor being as powerful as all the other Avengers combined. While that isn't exactly true, the point was that Thor made the other Avengers almost superfluous--so writers started not using him just so the others could have a chance to do something. With the Sentry, the problem is the same, only a million times worse.

Or, I kid you not, the Avengers boards at Marvel's own site. Granted, there's a little more balance in that forum--- but as I've mentioned before, there's certainly no lack of the same criticisms we see here and elsewhere. . . HB
