Considering how many television and direct-to-video series seem to be coming, I think it would be useful for everyone to make a little calendar, or at least a list, to update when new series are announced. I'm not familiar with most of what is going on, so feel free to quote, correct and update the following.
New series currently airing The Batman Wolverine and the X-Men Iron-Man Armored Adventures Spectactular Spider-Man Black Panter?
Upcoming series Avengers
DVD Recently out Superman & Batman: Public Enemies Planet Hulk
Upcoming DVD Justice League: Crisis Tales of Asgard
Anything else?

Which is the story about Jason Todd as the Red Hood.

Well, I've been really lazy this weekend, with a pinched nerve. I did manage to watch some animated super-hero cartoons, and thought I'd review them.....
The Dr Strange DVD really disappointed me, the anime-style had Dr Strange doing more kung-fu and swordfighting, and less casting of spells, which didn't work for me. Don't waste your time on this one (Or the Iron Man anime-style cartoon, it sucked too)
I also watched AVENGERS CONFIDENTIAL /Black Widow and Punisher(?), I had never heard of this and figured I'd check it out for $1.22 at the Redbox. Well, it really sucked, too. But I admit, I'm not a fan of anime. However, this cartoon just doesn't represent what makes the AVENGERS a great team and concept----unlike the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon, which truly represented the Avengers.
I also rented Justice League: WAR from Redbox.....this was really good, a nice representation of the JLA. It concentrates on Cyborg's origin a little too much, IMO, but I enjoyed it. I was a little taken aback when Cyborg exclaims "SH!T", and I wouldn't recommend any of these three DVDs to show to little kids (Well, you COULD watch Dr Strange if you want the kid to doze off, ha-ha!)

Thanks for the reviews, Starfy. I'm not a fan of the anime style stuff as it applies to superhero cartoons, though I did enjoy the Teen Titans, after I got used to it. I know Dr. Strange is a skilled martial artist, and some of that would be OK, but there shouldn't be too much of that in a Doc Strange show. I remember a Dr. Strange animated movie from years back that I thought was quite good. The AVENGERS CONFIDENTIAL doesn't sound like my cup of tea, either.
Once again, it sounds like DC is ahead of Marvel in the animated stuff. Too bad they seem to have given up on it, for some reason.
