Here's my review of Avengers Initiative #30 let me know if you agree/disagree, or if i'm totally full of crap.... I've been really enjoying this title, but this ish was dissappointing (especially since the cover was interesting, with many heroes/villains, i love costumes ) <SPOILERS ALERT> First off, I never was interested in, and have grown very tired of- Penance- (sooo sick of him, can't believe he's still relevant) Trauma- and the Hood- (yawn...) so the redeeming value of this issue is Gage(to his credit) has ACTUALLY tied up the loose ends for these three (and MVP/Spider-whatever, too, i guess). WOw, remember that old device of "wrapping up" a storyline? Now hopefully these guys will dissappear. Also, Trauma's origin scenes were confusing, and just plain dumb, IMHO. Again, I never liked the character.... More confusing points (please help me if you can explain these)- on (actual) page 16, who is the Initiative "hero" with the red mask, "Roger", with "Paul" the dead, crippled brother It's a confusing panel, and I couldn't find a match for the red-mask guy anywhere else in the issue. AND, WTF? with Tigra's "empathy" power i NEVER remember her having those powers? The art was okay, but all in all, this was just not a good issue the last two panels with Diamondback and Constrictor were VERY intriguing, though. I hope Gage can put this "Nightmare" in the past and move onto some fun stories.
