Maybe they should just call her Mockingbuns.
You'd almost think Ed Benes drew that cover. Sheesh.

I used to work in an elementary school. At one point, they passed out a list of items such as toys that the kids were not allowed to have at school. On this list, they included comic books. I went to bat on this one because the kids had free reading time and I said that comics were just another form of literature and needed to be allowed at this time. I won and they removed comics from the list but covers like this, which are becoming more and more common would it make it tougher to convince people that they are appropriate today.
On the other hand, this costume may help to explain why Bobbi is so good at leaps and kicks. If I had a wedgie like this, I'd be jumping around too, just trying to get it out.

the butt shot is one of a million things wrong with this cover. the perspective is completely off so that Hawkeye looks like his Goliath size and if he were to shoot that arrow, the vanes or feathers would hit Bobbi right in the back of the head... does dark reign refer to the editorial process at marvel these days?

It's been confirmed that Mockingbird will join the New Avengers. For anyone who thought they couldn't care less about Mockingbird's return... bet this proves you were wrong.

Clint is just happy to have her back. And from the looks of the cover, Mockingbird is happy that she's GOT back, too. ;D

I thought I would be excited about the return of Hawkeye and Mockingbird, early W.C.A. being one of my favorite comics, but I'm actually pretty .....well, meh, about the whole thing.
Hawkeye has always been one of my favorites, and one of the reasons is he continually bounces back, whether it's recreating his own image -
criminal>hero Hawkeye>Goliath>Hawkeye>Goliath>Hawkeye>dead>Ronin (better dead than Ronin, IMO) Pain-in-the-butt>team leader pants+mask>skirt+headband
Clint's gone from Avenger to Defender to Wacko to Thunderbolt (his appearances in T-bolts are some of the best issues, IMO)
and he's nailed Black Widow to She-Hulk to Mockingbird to Moonstone to Wasp (and kept going according to "Old Man Logan")
I guess I'm just dreading the inevitable "Gosh Bobbi, I missed you sooooo much" nonsense that Clint displayed in Secret Invasion. I mean, I feel bad for the guy with the whole "return of the dead wife" situation, but I think Clint deserves better than this. He should be able to move on from his own vaguely explained "death" and start kicking some butt as HAWKEYE. The nostalgic aspects of Bobbi's return don't outweigh the overall lameness of the whole thing, at least for me.
I guess some writers have no love for Hank, Jan, Tigra, Cap OR Clint.
Let me know if this is worth checking out, but I'm pretty skeptical at this point.

I don't think it's "no love," as much as it's "no voice."
Though Hank's been better since the end of SI.
