I just read #1 and #2, and I'm loving this book.
The story has that 80's feel to it, (I know, I know, I miss the 80s!) it doesn't take itself too serious, and the characters are written dead on. A cool plot, I wish this was an ongoing, though.
<SPOILER ALERT> (kind of)
I love Jocasta!

I enjoyed the first 2 Marvel Zombies series very much, but I have mixed feelings on this one, mostly for the impact on continuity. Seeing Morbius without an arm and the X-Men guy apparently dead worries me for what is to happen (I always liked the Living Vampire).
Still, it's fun to see what the criminals did after the zombified heroes left the planet. Impressive that Kingpin managed to resist the urge of eating his wife.

Pretty cool issue for me too, things appear to be getting in motion. By the way, does anyone know what happened to the zombies (Spidey, Cage, Giant-Man ecc) who were teleported away at the end of Marvel Zombies 2? Did they appear somewhere else or is that storyline still without its finale?

As I read this mini-series, it felt like a Horror/Adventure movie with Marvel Universe characters. Issue #4 was nicely done, with a cool technique by Ken Walker of putting the "surprise" panels on the next pages to build suspense and then shock. The ending is a setup for MZ4, but at least Van Lente gives this storyline closure first, which is more than some writers are capable of, apparently (you know who I'm talking about). And the cover is a bit of false advertisement, but I guess most of the "Zombie" covers are homages of Marvel covers, anyway. I would recommend this in trade, but not for those who have trouble detaching from MU continuity, whatever that means anymore.
