First post in the forum! Decided to start the ball rolling with all we know so far on World War Hulk. Now while I bought every single civil war tie-in and I'm glad of it, I have a much reduced list for World War Hulk. I wasn't sure whether to get it at all, since I'm not a fan of Hulk, but eventually I caved, so I myself will definitely be buying: World War Hulk: World Breaker World War Hulk #1--#5World War Hulk: X-Men #1-#3 Probably be buying World War Hulk: Gamma Corps #1-#4 World War Hulk: Frontline #1-#6 May be buying: Incredible Hulk #106-#109 Will NOT be buying: Irredeemable Ant-Man Heroes For Hire Ghost Rider Any Other Tie-in done just for sales on flagging titles. I'll also be buying AVengers: The Initiative and Iron Man anyway. Here's what we know: www.newsarama.com/NYCC/2007/Marvel/WWH.html-NYCC panel on WWH. forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=102627-Jenkins on World War Hulk: Frontline forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=102628-Gage on World War Hulk: X-Men www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=9852-Gage on WWH: X-Men again and also Iron Man tie-ins. forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=103078-Tieri on World War Hulk: Gamma Corps Interesting to note none of the major creators of Marvel (Millar, JMS, Bendis etc) in on this one, and only one of their "major" books, Iron Man, tying in. Welcome change IMO. Discuss, bash, slaughter etc here!

I'm looking forward to this! A good ol' fashion Hulk throw-down!
I'm only going to be picking up "World War Hulk," "Frontline," "Avengers: The Intiative," and "X-Men," though.

I think I'll wait and see what others have to say about it. I haven't really followed the Hulk since David wrote him, and the character was never one of my favorites. With all of Manhattan threatened, it sounds like they're trying to make him the Ultimate Hulk.
Is he smart or dumb these days?

Before I knew much about WWH, I was looking forward to it, just to have the simple pleasure of 'Hulk Smash'. But now that it has been revealed as yet another 'event', with the requisite 900 tie-ins, my enthusiasm has waned markedly.

Just the main mini-series. 2) There's only 25 issues beyond the WWH mini and the Hulk on-going; this pales compared to the 60ish comics that were part "House of M" and the 105 comics that were part of "Civil War" ~W~

Was Manhattan never threatened by the Hulk in the 616 universe? Probably. But I know that Ultimate Hulk destroyed a huge section of it in the first Ultimates run, which is why I drew the comparison.

With WWH, I was hoping (vainly obviously) that Marvel wouldn't be milking us so soon after Civil War. But even at 25 issues outside of the main mini, that's a whole lot of money I don't need to be spending. And won't be, so let's hope the mini does indeed convey enough info to understand what's going on.

By the way, am I the only one befuddled by this remark in the NYCC-panel article?:…The Hulk, a member of the Champions? The only Champions history the Hulk has that I am aware of is his fight against them in last year’s Giant-Size Hulk #1—and yeah, Ghost Rider was in that story too.

Is it just me, or does it truly start to feel like most creators at Marvel are in some kind of long "armchair general" trip...? Annihilation, CW, WWH... I hope, after this event, that they can lay off the war motiff for a while...

I think the most important question is this.
How many knots can Hulk tie Reed Richards up in? It'll be like playing with a stretch armstrong doll.

World War Hulk got me off my butt and got me to start back in on the new comics. I'm only getting the main mini-series, if they can't make that entertaining, then I don't need to be going on their side trips either. And I'm getting Hulk for the duration too, that will probably be key to it. Least it oughta be. I'm reading reviews and commentary on all the Civil War craziness, and as much as I don't like it, it wil lbe worth it if Hulk and Thor come in and put Tony Stark in his place. I want that Helicarrier to COME DOWN!

You mean Starks new helicarrier that he colored in Red and Gold Iron Man colors instead of traditional SHIELD colors? but it's not about ego.

Next step: replace all those SHIELD agents which, after all, require to be paid a salary, with more of those suits of armor... The perfect idea for the ultimate control freak...!!!

actually I think everyone has it all wrong. The entire thing will just boil down to several issues about everyone involved getting together for a luncheon. Discussing their disagreements in a caml and open manner. Everyone apoligizing and making up. Then the rest of the issue they will all go out and fight ninja clones,.. if they can find any
