Meltzer's JLA makes the formation of the New Avengers look fast.
I was honestly STUNNED to find it had taken less issues, because I swear to God, the sum total of the first three or four issues is "The Trinity sit around a table looking at pictures and selecting Leaguers." As it transpires, none of those Leaguers are used by the way, the team assembles through fate anyway.
And yet, it was better thamn Silver Surfer where about one thing happened in 4 issues, if even.
I just the second trade, which includes Ronan, Silver Surfer and Super-Skrull.
Man, this thing went off track. Drax was good, the one-shot was good, Nova was good, Silver Surfer was decent . . . but the hell happened with Ronan and Super-Skrull? Super-Skrull felt just pointless. Ronan really had to stretch to bring both his plotline and the Annhiliation story together. Both on their own would have been fine, but . . . blah.
