Y'know, an interesting story would be this one: Ares the betrayer. It's been sufficiently long since Terra and the Teen Titans that most folks wouldn't even thing it a ripoff.
It starts with the Mighty Avengers finally, issues down the road, piecing it together as they realize their actions seem to be causing conflicts wherever they go. And it continues when Ares swells to twice his size and tells them, in a Thundering Voice, that he's a God, not a common brawler, and that eveyrthing they have done has played into his hands. Iron Man falls, Ms. Marvel falls, the shockwaves of those attacks take down Wasp and Black Widow. The Sentry wilts under a fierce glare.
And then Thor appears... (Not Clor. Never Clor.)

Yes, but BENDIS! hates Thor. So if he did appear, Ares would win. Then Echo or Ronin would hop in and save the day.

As a matter of fact, while talking to "Wizard" when MA was 1st announced, Cho & Bendis stated that at some point Thor & Ares would clash & Ares was gonna win... hence the genesis of the thread I iniciated when I read such blasphemy: "FREAKIN' ARES... "

Doombot schmoombot...!!! According to the writer of GLA (I forget who he was...) it was, indeed, no other than the one & only Victor Von Doom...

That's not true though, ua2! 1. Bendis JOKED thatthey'd fight and Ares would win. Taking it seriously is an example of why you can't take every bad thing he says too seriously 2. It was a Doombot according to Fantastic FOur. At least I think it was FF... I'm pretty sure I read somewhere. Bah, Doom cares not what the GLA writer says! Doom has never been defeated by the likes of Squirrel Girl!

Just the sort of thing they'd pull. Thor : "Have at thee base villain!" Ares : "Nay Thor, this time Ares will be the victor!" Thor : "I say thee nay! Let the battle be.... ah crud .... ninjas!" Ares : "Ninjas??!!! Let us set our battle aside and join forces lest these superior fighters overpower us seperately!" Thor : "Aye, no ninja is to be taken lightly." etc. etc. etc.

and , of course, the ninja battle would take about three issues. by the way, your dialog for that scene was spot-on. The only change you should make is to have Thor say something like "verily, here there be ninjas" instead of "oh, crud" Thor's not an "Oh crud" kinda guy. Unless it's Clor

Course I won't accept that!
It says Bendis LOVES Iron Man and not only that but says he lilkes him MORE THAN LUKE CAGE! It gives Cage only SEVEN.
And the source of how he dislikes him? Because Thor isn't mentioned. Uh-huh. The fact that his DEATH in his own book was editorially mandated and already happening doesn't have any impact there of course.
NOTE: Oh, and that quiz kind of totally failed in it's aim btw.
I got seven out of ten right.

It also defies the point of the quiz since the point is that no-one can do well

Is 70% a good score? If I got a 70% in a class, that wouldn't be good.

70% is a B+. I'd say it qualifies as a good score.

In Ireland it's a B+?? Wow. Over here 70% is a D-.
93-100 = A 85-92 = B 77-84 = C 70-76 = D

I find that hard to believe since the USA has one of the lowest grade averages in the world. Perhaps this explains it? 90-100 Grade A+ 80-90 Grade A 70-80: Grade B 60-70 Grade C <60- Grade D

even by your scale it would be a B- not a B+. I look at your scale you can get 10% of your answers wrong and get an A+? That's forgiving. If I ever go back to school I'm gonna come over there and get rained on. It's woth it.

Hey, I got a 70 too. That's weird. Of course, it doesn't mean much that you can receive a passing grade at all on a quiz that includes such things as a question saying "I'm pregnant. You've killed my baby" and only one woman is listed as a choice (And she's pregnant) or "I can absorb energy and Ms. Marvel is one of the choices. The creator of the quiz kind of missed the point of his own quiz, I think.

I just got finished reading the story where Herc is in a coma so Zeus takes all the Avengers to Olympus to banish them to Hades.
Something else about Ares stands out for me. Look at it from the other side of this. It's not that the Avengers shouldn't want him on the team, they have had prior opponents fight on the team before, but Ares really shouldn't want to be an Avenger.
He syffers from god-pride, and has always hated the Avengers. In this run he takes the most pleasure from fighting them. He has always felt opposition to them for them accepting Herc. I really don't feel that he waould want to be associated with them.

Dammit, nutcase... now cut that out. What you just stated is a prime example of something I like to call "deference to continuity," and you know good and well that if you want continuity you have to go read the back volumes.... duh.
